Mask VS face shield

I usually just wear a normal cheap hospital looking mask because they breath the best. I was thinking about ordering a face shield because I heard you can breath better in them. Anyone try one out especially at the gym?

But then you'll still be able to breath in and out airborne particles.
I recommend, a plastic bag. It's the best of worlds

I sometimes wear a face shield when running a manual milling machine. It's pretty comfortable IMO, though it does fog up some.

You might have more trouble with fogging in a gym, depending on your sets, but you can flip most face shields up easy enough. It's not like masks or face shields offer any protection against an airborne virus.

They make anti mask masks that look pretty breathable.

Luckily my gym doesn't require masks. I feel like it would hurt my workout. I used to wonder what the guys wearing elevation masks in the gym were training for and I guess this is it.

I would laugh at your if you have on a mask (unless you are forced to as part of the governments mind control efforts to scare us from the flu). I would laugh at you even harder if you wear a face shield. Mind as well put the goggles and butt plug in too, Dovid-19 might gotcha

Where I live in Cali it’s required everywhere. They won’t even let you in.

In WA you have to wear one in indoor public places. It’s only once inside the gym and working out that you can take it off, as long as you can be 6’ apart but I doubt they’re watching and measuring lol. At least in CA things like bars/restaurants are open past 22:00/10pm.

Mandatory mask - no face shield - in Michigan gyms. But they can open to full capacity and normal programming

before I got mandatory ot, I was going to 24 in wa and you had to wear a mask while working out but that was when it first opened. Haven't been there in a bit thou.

Hmm wonder if that was specific to 24 or what. I remember a week before they opened LA fitness emailed me saying m you didn’t have to wear one while working out, but I haven’t actually gone yet I’m still doing my own workouts. My moms gone a few times since they re-opened and she said once inside past the front desk you can take it off although many still wear masks.

24 Hour policy is mask on while entering, and in the weight area. If you're on cardio machines you may remove your mask as they've essentially enforced 6 feet by closing every other machine. That said, its about 50-50 that people actually follow the rules. Texas by the way.

Do people really think a mask works ? It's made out of underwear. I know when I fart, it's stinky. Why do they think it works ?

Medical-grade masks do work. They're standard PPE for droplet precautions when treating high-risk patients for a reason.

Bandanas do not work, however.
