How would WE/I know if they are "faking it"?

What products are you wanting to test?

FYI a MS is the BEST means of determining what SPECIFIC AAS you have purchased, and an HPLC is the most reliable method of determining it's concentration.

PURITY or a "IMPURITY" ANALYSIS on a quantitative basis can be VERY challenging and time consuming for several reasons.

However what an IMPURITY ASSAY essentially involves is having to RECOVER and IDENTIFY ALL the UNKNOWN COMPOUNDS excluding the AAS of a mixture.
