Melly Mel's Log From Hell

Way to go Mel, you are living proof that if you train hard and smart and of course eat appropriately, you can reach your goals AND set new PR's into your 40's 50's and beyond.
Its just a number boys, its just a number.
Now lets go get that 210 [emoji123][emoji123]

A few days after hitting 200lbs. I once again tweeked my back. I haven't been to the gym since. I've been in so much fucking pain I want to swallow the barrel. Also I have now worked 18 days without a day off. I've been to Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville Florida. Traveling with my back like this is torture. I had the flu for a week and had to work through it. I'm in hell. I've probably lost 10 or more lbs. From not eating right and not lifting. I haven't checked in because when I'm in a bad way I regress into myself. I'm very depressed because I'm in pain and I can't do anything about it. So ends my cycle. All I can do is wait, heal, and fight again later. I'm starting to belive that the 200lb. Range is not good for me. The last time I tweeked my back is when I hit 199. I may have to stay in the 190lb range and go for being ripped.

Damn man I hate hearing all that. I understand how you feel though. Nothing more depressing than moving so far forward to get knocked down have to start again. The key is to not give up. Get that body healed up and push forward again. The best we can do is learn from our experiences and adjust. Glad to see you back posting again. Keep that head up.

Hang in there Mel, you do need rest to regroup. So give it a chance and you will be back in the saddle soon enough.

Im really sorry to hear this Mel. I was wondering where youve been and really looking forward to an update but this is the last thing i was expecting. You hang in there buddy and if i were you i would say fuck work and get some much needed rest and try and get some relief for that back.
And there aint nothin wrong with 190 and ripped. Id rather be that than 205 and soft[emoji6]

What were you doing when you tweeked your back?

The foam roller and heating pad have been lifesavers for me. I hope you're okay.
