Membrane 22μm or 45μm which one use ?

What membrane you consider using?

22μm or 45μm

I am considering using Nylon 47mm 45μm in a filtration system.


the 45μm takes away all the impurities?

Don't use a .45um filter. Go with the .22um one.

There's at least one member on here who advocates the use of .45um filters but I would strongly advise you to use the .22um ones instead.

Edit* there's really no reason to not use .22um considering the differences in price are negligible and the added protection alone justifies it.

.45 will not remove all impurities, bacteria can still make it through. I used to double filter first through .45 then .22 but now exclusively just the .22

I want .22 with replacement filters.1cfm air pump and pyrex flask funnel and beaker.
tired of the hand pump to much to filter.
