Meso Book Club

I've been busy with work. But at work I recently read brian krebs book, Spam Nation. It was a decent read. You can just read his blog — you will get the same info and save some duckets.

I listen to a shit ton of audio books. Mostly fantasy nerd shit that I doubt anyone here would actually recognize.

The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson is probably my favorite

You must have missed my post. I can't wait for book three to come out. I pre-ordered book two on Amazon months before it came out. Fantastic series.

You an audible member? I'm also a fantasy sci-fi nerd. I get so excited and geek out over a good book. You should try the iron Druid series or Ready Player One. Ready Player One was my first audible book and if it wouldn't of been then I would of never gotten into listening to books.

I'll check those out man. and yeah, audible is the shit. Always have it on in the car, to-from work.

You won't be disappointed. They are some of the most reviewed books out there and they get nothing but 4-5 stars. I took a chance on the Iron Druid Series. Quite frankly it's sounded to bazaar when I read the Author's summary of the book but I fell in love with in the first hour and I'm 8 books into it now.

Fuck man! i didn't see it. and yeah, it's supposed to be put this year right? been waiting almost 2 years lol

Yeah, almost two years. I don't know if you've read Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, but it looks like Stormlight Archives is going to be tied in with it from how the second one ended.

I need to get into audio books, I've been neglecting reading lately due to work. I spend 45+ minutes each day on my drive to and from work, too. I've never been a fan of listening to books, but maybe could get into it.

I'm listening to Brandon Sanderson 3rd book in the series " The reckoners" right now. I will definitely add Brandon Sanderson to my top 10 list.

yeah man, i read some fan stuff about them all being linked with the runes and things. I forget specifics, since its been over a year.

side note: have you read the king killer chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss? just as good.

Very unique style of writing and the worlds he creates are just way different than what you usually see.

Also, Warbreaker is a free download from Sanderson's website. He gives it away for people unfamiliar with his work. Just type in Warbreaker free download. @NovaFlex

No, not familiar with that one.

Not really a big spoiler about how the stories are linked, but I'll spoiler tag it in case.

The talking sword Szeth finds at the end is a character from Warbreaker.

I still need to finish The Dark Tower, I have the first edition hard back in my office. I like most of Kings stuff.
I haven't read any novels in a few years mostly I read furniture making, cabinet making, carpentry, and woodworking type stuff.
I like Lehane also, his stuff is worth a read.

The shardblades are just technology they no longer have, I believe. That sword from Warbreaker was created using the essences stolen from people used to bring an inanimate object to life. Been awhile since I've read any of them, but I think that's it.

Started the iron druid series today...I'm hooked.

Ha Im excited for you. Im to the point now that I have to wait a year to a year and a half for the Author ( Kevin Hearne ) to spit out another book to the series. He never disappoints.

In oner news I finished Brandon Sandersons " Clamity" I gave it 5 stars. It was great. Cant wait for the next book in the series.

Im starting " Leviathan Wakes" by James Corey tomorrow. I know absolutely nothing about the book but hear its a good one. I like to go into books and movies knowing very little cause it makes them that much better.
