@JP1979 thanks again bud.
So here comes the noob dumb questions. You said not to inhale? What’s the point of just puffing on it? I used to be a heavy smoker but quit years ago. I’m actually enjoying this cigar now. Problem is I can’t help from inhaling and I’m sure I’m holding it like a cig. Lol I need lessons and a glass of Johnny walker blue to get the full effect. Someone school me on how to be a fancy bitch.
You inhale cigs to get the nicotine. Smoking a cigar isn’t about getting a nicotine fix. Each cigars blend and tobacco used will impart a different flavor than each other (different brands/sizes all has en effect on flavor). Would be fun if the next time you smoked the same cigar with a fresh age to compare. Eventually you will find your wheelhouse, if you get into it.
For now I would just focus on smoking slow, not inhaling and trying to pick out some flavors or room notes.
Woods, pepper, creaminess (is more of a texture) are the easiest to notice.
I try to keep it simple. Spicy, earthy, or sweet when trying to explain tasteYou inhale cigs to get the nicotine. Smoking a cigar isn’t about getting a nicotine fix. Check out Cigars International. I purchased a sampler pack of 40 sticks and a 40 stick humidor for 180 bucks. "The Chosen One" was the name of the sampler. Good way to sample some different cigars.Yeah after a few minutes I found my groove discovered the greatness of just savoring the smoke from puffing. It also taste great to somewhat chew on the tip (not sure if anyone else does this). I throughly enjoyed it and have already taken to instagram and browsed #cigar and #cigarsociety. Pretty neat and I can see this being the start of something. Thanks again
Oh yeah that's the best route no doubt. I'm in the sticks so that was my only choice.Better - find a cigar store near you and hang out for a bit. Ask questions. Tell them you are completely new and you will get help. It's a very relaxed group of people. You'll have to try different brands, tobacco's, strength's, etc to find what you like.
I was into it years back and even had a cigar roller at my wedding and the parting gifts (among others) were cigars. I then focused more on competitive sports and the cigar smoking world conflicted with it. I still have a ton of inventory at home. Good thing they do not go bad unless you leave them in terrible conditions.
I quit dipping after 30 years of Copenhagen. I have a stick every evening with my ONE glass of good whiskey,scotch. Keeps me young.Been awhile since I’ve had one this thread sure makes um appealing, I’m a dipper myself.

Just curious here, since you don't inhale are you really getting any nicotine and relaxation properties thereof? I imagine the nicotine values are huge due to size but it's not like you hear of people getting a nicotine buzz or addiction from cigars like you do cigs etc. Is it more about the flavor, smoke, and experience?
