I've read that some people can benefit from using metformin for fat loss and of course it's used as a diabetes medication - then I heard about it on radio yesterday that it could extend lives into a person's 120's. Interesting information!

I was diagnosed with diabetes about a year ago and prescribed metformin. Up until that point I had never been particularly lean or vasicular even on aas. These days I don't do any cardio, my vasculatity is quite noticable and I have leaned out considerably. Unfortunately, for me I doubt I'll live into my 100's, but anything is possible.

I don't buy into that bullshit at all, being diabetic and having higher overall blood sugar causes more stress on organs, especially kidneys.

I would think that's true 9 times out of 10 as well, but as far as it slowing the aging process for those that are already healthy individuals then it's possible I suppose. I don't know a lot of information about slowing the aging process but it is an interesting article none the less I would say.

Although in the end, it is more than likely just another article to give everyone the hope that the fountain of youth has been found. GH, AAS, etc have all been given the fountain of youth label before at one time or another... They're not really the fountain of youth. But they are still fascinating to be looked at in that light!

Exactly. I'm sure most people who use steroids and hgh statistically die younger

The only people who would want to live to be 120 are those who have a fear of death rather than a love of life. If you make it to 120 or even 100 for that matter, your quality of life is going to be about a 2/10 - if you're lucky.

well these guys are a pretty trusted source for information....................
Seriously? If you believe anything from Fox news then you are either incredibly ignorant, gullible or stupid.

Sorry for being a bit facetious, i just have a disdain for fox news and their agenda. They neglect any news that won't reel basic idiots in.
They're the buzzfeed of tv journalism!

Bill O Reilly can suck it... :) I like Huffington Post for news, I read about this on there first but couldn't find it when I wanted to post it on the board, seen it talked about before so thought there might be done interest. We can wait and see if OGH lives to 120 now ;)

Come on, are you saying that there is any materially better mainstream news source out there? It's all infotainment - with a strong vein of editorializing in most of them.

About Fox, studies actually show that Fox is a good deal more objective or unbiased than their competitors.

Read this piece from the arch-conservative bastion Harvard and their Kennedy School:

I think you're the gullible one...

Oh do you? Well done on coming to that conclusion champ.

Only news i trust is the british broadcasting corporation, australian broadcasting corporation and Al-Jazeera.

There's my opinion, I've seen yours, now we can go our seperate ways having learnt a useless fact about a random person in another country.
