Was wondering after you have your oil and product on the beaker what method do you use to heat it?

Can I just put the beaker on the stove top for a little or will it shatter?

just vee gee 150 mL beaker medlabsupply

You’re vee gee beakers are borosilicate glass so you can heat on your stove at a reasonable heat so as not to damage your raws. As a rule of thumb, a good way to heat with no temp sensing equipment is I never get it hot enough to not be able to hold my hand on the bottom of the beaker.

ok cool. I was just going to warm it up a little cause the stuff I am making should hold easy. Warming would be for syringe filtering. I am only making 60 m L of 5 compounds.

Get at it man, good luck!!

Actually it is a griffin beaker. I had to switch the order around. I am trying to use bitcoin and its a hassle over there. But the only place i know to buy lab gear and everything with bitcoin.

just use a lower setting than you think you need to and work your way up, you can always increase heat, it's hard to take it back.

An oil bath (similar to a water bath, just with oil instead of water)
Best if the beaker sits on an insulating platform (inside the oil), and not directly on the vessel being heated as to avoid hot zones on the bottom.

Some cup warmers also work fine, since they don't get past a certain temperature.

The Griffin beakers are also borosilicate glass. I didn’t specifically check for this, but after glancing through the listing, I think this all of the beakers sold by Med Lab Supply are constructed from borosilicate glass

Get a magnetic hot plate, they’re pretty cheap and so are stir bars. Then stick a thermometer in your brew and welcome to easy mode. I typically don’t go past 150 for anything besides bases.
