Hello, can i use the microwave to heat oil in the beaker ,because i am afraid water bath can crack the beaker

NO! microwave isnt consistent in how it heats things, if you have an actual veegee beaker or something similar then putting it in a pot with water about 1 or two inches on low heat will not break your beaker

These beakers are made exactly for not breaking due to heat. But to answer your question about microwave or water bath.... neither. I place my beakers directly on to a hot plate. Water and oil don't mix. There is a chance you get a slight amount of water in your oil when using a heat bath albeit a very small chance, but a chance non the same.

Exactly, all I produce are made directly in the flame , thus guarantee the necessary heat and glass sterilization .

Glass can take a lot of heat. What breaks it is the shock from a sudden remperature change. Heat it slow - cool it slow. The same with a hot plate. If you toss it on a hot surface you can break it. Warm them up and cool the them down together. Yep, people get away with doing it wrong but you have a 5 in 6 chance in Russian Roullette as well.

I use the microwave to heat up my vials
And the oven to bake my gear

And a lighter to introduce the shatter to the terpene oil ... Peace!!!!

Heat is not necessary ever to home brew gear. Not in preparation or sterilization.

Heat that shit up baby .. the only thing I don't Heat is my food... And my toothpaste mouthwash I do ..
Heat is the reason we live ..
I'm stoned so I'm gonna eat some more then it the sack... ..
I'm still pumped from my workout .. fuckin thc helps so much with motivation for me ...

Goodnight

Why is it mentioned so much? Is it a matter of speeding up the dissolving process, or intended to sterilize?

Heat speeds up the process of getting something into solution and also allows a higher concentration of solution.

For sterilization purposes, the only thing you should be sterilizing with heat is glassware/vials. I use open unsterile vials so I must sterilize them myself and I do so with heat @ 500deg F for 1.5hrs

Heat makes it all so much faster and easier. There's really no down side to using heat unless you go really high temps and then the product starts to degrade. But we're talking temps of over 5 - 6 hundred degrees f. If you heat at temps of about 250f your powder will disolve in minutes and you can see the oil swirling arond a bit mixing and disolving product. Let it warm to a temp where you can comfortably hold the beaker and feel it's warmth and filter at that temp for a much easier filtering process.

Agree. Think that heat is necesary for example when you want to disolve non ester powders. In cool BB it can take a days haha.
