How would you guys says physique standards have shifted over the last 10, 20, 30 years?

Bodybuilders in the 80s and 90s had smaller but more aesthetic physiques before insulin became apart of bodybuilding. The aesthetics push also made a comeback around 2010 duting the Zyzz era

Lately though with the rise of social media, influencers, etc. -- the trend seems to have shifted back towards becoming a mass monster and adding as much tissue as possible.

quality of gear, hgh, training and dieting methods and philosophies have also improved drastically, and I feel the standard of physique is higher now than it's ever been. I remember looking back at some of the popular figures when I started lifting around 2010, people who I thought were very impressive at the time, who now in retrospect don't look as impressive compared to the genetic freaks that are being churned out today.
I think with the advent of social media, there is more pressure than ever to look damn lean all the time, driving folks to run tren year round, and other reckless things.

With the rise of high quality generic GH people can run a vial a day with little to no issue financially, or more.

Agreed that physique standard is higher than ever, but I do also believe there is a larger portion of folks pushing doses higher in aggregate.

I guess in summary in today's day and age the physique standard is now bigger, leaner, and staying that way for longer.

What's also interesting is to see the # of bber deaths now compared to then. Maybe I'm misinformed but it seems like every other month you hear about one these days.

Yeah i agree with all of what you said, especially the higher doses and increased deaths, which are obviously related.

I do think word also travels faster now, but I agree every month there seems to be a new name. Although it was a while ago, John meadows death was a hard one.. he was/is a treasure trove of information. I still go back and watch his content and constantly learn new things

A lot of folks say doses have always been this high; and I think there have always been a few folks that pushed doses then to where they are today. My point is about the aggregate dose of today being higher than those days.

Definitely word travels faster, no doubt about that. Yeah John's was a tough pill to swallow for sure. Some of the deaths are not surprising at all, but some definitely are.

i think theres just a lot more people taking gear year after year.
its all over social media, i told a girl I have to get bloodwork she asks if its for testosterone. like go watch makeup tutorials you dumb bitch.
True. Think there is a larger number of population taking gear today then "yesterday."

Damn, you're swole enough you accuses you of not being natty? that's pretty sick at least she thinks you're jacked

Yeah, it's all over social media, and more people seek it because everyone is trying to out-do the next, or at least look/be as good. Social media has become the unreasonable measure subscribers envy and pursue to imitate.

Glad it's not just me then.

I'll use this as a segue: mental health and AAS? Have y'all noticed positive / negative / no change? Perhaps it's compound dependent?
I joke but i don't really have extra aggression on 1g+ test being that my estrogen is perfect (22-28). Even if my e2 was 40 that would be too high for me and I would be raging on my keyboard and reactive irl.

I only use test now, I am too sensitive to most things, even 70mg tren resulted in a change in my mental state. Even if I take anadrol preworkout, I'm still irritated the rest of the day over minor things.

Ive done 700mg+ tren back in the day, done them all except trest and the other weird ones. I was just as sensitive to these compounds then i just didn't care/realize.

Estrogen is the most important, every time in my life that sucked I look back on and my e2 was on the higher end.

Ive heard rumors that gear downregulates some stuff in the brain that makes you sad but I dont really know and I'm not sure if I want to.

basically its this or TRT, and legit TRT doesn't do shit for me

oh yea i joke too. no extra aggression from me either. high e2 makes me cry though and just be super emotional, with the rare "bitch fit."

i'm with you on the no more 19nors. i basically permit myself to use test / mast / primo / eq / winstrol / anavar. i love me some dbol but that estrogen is a pain in the butt. but boy does it feel good for a bit lol.

haha i don't want to know on the brain impact of these compounds i'm gonna keep running. i'm still going to do it and i'd like to be blissfully ignorant.

legit TRT is anything that is only test I thought? 1g seems to fit that profile... jokes aside, I don't see myself below 250mg test per week pretty much...ever?

Ok bro, good morning, I'll get something going, I guess. Not sure if this belongs here... I bought Kurt Havens HGH book, started reading, anyone read it? Thoughts?
I don't know whats going to be in there thats not already on the internet. Seems like everyone nowadays takes modafinil and wants to be an authority on something

GLP drugs should be mandated the way the clot shot was. Exemptions based on dexa scan.
I dont agree i want to be able to identify people with poor impulse control and lack of self awareness
