Hey everyone,

I've been reading the forum for a pretty long time, and I couldn't sleep tonight, decided to post, IDK why.

I'm a dude, mid 40's, 5'11", 195 lbs, getting learner, but def consider myself a fat.

I ran Marathons/halfs, been recreationally lifting since I was 15, did some cheesy, but fun tough mudders and similar races, and have been a regular at "CrossFit" type gyms for ~10 years. I say like CrossFit as I refuse to go to a real one and pay the outrageous fees.

Come earlier this year, life caught up to me and I realized how shitty I've been feeling with work taking over my life since 2020 and being remote in the tech industry, which meant I'm more sedentary since I don't commute, and getting promotions is a blessing and a curse in terms of having freedom, time, energy, etc.

I found myself barely recovering from workouts, constantly feeling tired, a bit of a zombie day to day, and gaining fat year over year. I've been blasted with TRT ads ever since I turned ~35, and mostly ignored them, but kept up with regular bloodwork and mostly stayed within the 700-900's range through my 30's and early 40's.

I kept coming in around the 300's for the last ~6 months, and none of the shit I used to do worked to get me back to a place where I felt good. I gave it more time, and I told myself I'd get on a GLP, cut 10-15 lbs, and see where I am.

I saw an immediate positive impact with GLPs, and one thing led to another, and I was trying out all kinds of shit from the peptide space, which were mostly BS and overhyped anyways, but I sort of got hooked and just went for it and got on TRT.

Let me tell you something you already know, this was also overhyped.

Hear me out.

All the reddit threads, the ads, colleagues, it's like everyone just regurgitates TRT experiences as though it's something magical that will take you from 0 to 1000 in 1 week. This was not the case at all, and I'm glad to have set my expectations low.

With that said, I love being on TRT and it has only been 3 months. I recover faster, I feel stronger during workouts and day to day, I just feel like myself but without the noise of worrying about recovery, and having to wait a week to get back my strength and energy from an intense lifting session or long run, etc. I am actually really glad I did not jump the gun early and hop on 10+ years ago. Idk if I would have appreciated its subtle, but clear impact on my life.

I just do things and I do them again and again, and it just works. That's all I wanted.

I plan on continuing Test at 160 mgs/week split into EOD doses for the foreseeable future and Tirzepatide at 5 mgs a week until I get to 175 lbs and reassess from there.

Thanks for reading if you got to the end, and if you're a long time poster on this forum, a genuine thank you for all your posts, knowledge, shit talking, berating, and so on. I've learned a lot from you over the years and plan to continue learning from all of you.
