moving sucks.

I'm moving permanantly this weekend back to Philadelphia, which is where I've lived my whole life up until 2 years ago.My company moved me to a little town in central Pa, and then closed the branch I was running after an upper management scandal of some sort. They had the balls to then offer me a position in Newport News Va. So I told them to go piss up a stick, and here I am.It wouldnt be so bad if it was just me, but I have two young boys and a wife to think about. I really feel bad about dragging them all over the state.

Sorry to hear about your woe's... Moving sucks and acclimating your family to a new area is never easy... perhaps this move will actualy prove to be beneficial for you and your family.... you never know.

Good luck man.....just to let you know this happened to my dad twice when i was growing up. i lived in Houston for 12 years then Alabama for 3 and now i live in atlanta, everytime we had to move my sister and i were devastated but it turned out for the best because we made great new friends everywhere we lived and we now have friends we keep in touch with all over the place...i didnt not like anywhere we had to live, it turned out for the best, it just took a little time thats all. Hope this makes you feel better about your family hearing that from a recent kid's standpoint

good luck on the moves. From Feb 2002 to december 2002 my son and I moved 6 times. F'n sucks and I hated having to do that to him. Moving really sucks like no other. He is in first grade now and is getting along very well so hopefully you end up in a good spot

I haven't moved in eight years untill last week, and I only went about 20 miles and I thought that was bad. I hate moving and I hate helping people move.

it really sucks. The majority of the times it was only my son and I. All my shit got torn up pretty bad b/c i would have to drag it into the condo, duplex, house, , house, house, and house again. It wears on you that is for sure. Try keeping a lifting program doing that shit. I have only moved once in the last 4 months and will be moving one more time here shortly. That will be 8 times in about 2 years. Yes it does SUCK! 10 years of service proved that! Never in the same place more than 2 years, but hopefully the family wil adjust. I know my 2 kids we're still pretty young during the moves so they didnt really have that much of a problem transitioning. Kids are amazing that way. New adventures await! Just keep yer head up and it will be fine. Everything happens for a reason bro. You'll see

several times. You ought to see what used to be a nice entertainment center. Now it is about to fall apart. I will be lucky if it makes this next move. I used a dolly and tie downs for most of my stuff but it was still difficult with stairs etc.
