A brief history. I am 29, suffered from testicular cancer, and am now on HRT. I started with the cream but despite increase in dosages it did little to elevate my T levels (free, bio or total)

been on Enanthate, 100 mg's/week (0.5 cc's) for almost 2 months now (HRT) in combination with twice weekly injections of HCG at 500 i.u.'s each.

i feel great (much better than when I was using the cream)...however...

i did my tests on DEC 3rd (MONDAY)-about 5 weeks after switching from cream to injectable. I inject my testosterone on Wednesdays and the HCG on Saturdays and Sundays.

My blood work came back as follows:

Testosterone (total) HI 49.9 (range 9-29 pmol/L)
Testosterone (Free) HI 129.5 (range 30-99 " " )

This is insane. These results are higher than when I was running 100 mg's of PROP EOD!!! (same HCG Protocol) HOW is this possible?!

I am baffled...could it be the timing of the test in relation to the HCG injection? Is enanthate the greatest drug in the world? (lol) Seriously, I am baffled....

I am not using ANY other compund-stricly HRT here. (Swales protocol pretty much).

By the way..I am not complaining-I feel terrific. Simply looking for insightful responses and advice.

Those results are impossible. The reference ranges make no sense.

I am delighted to hear of your success with your therapy, though.

The ranges may be off by 5 or 10 MAX since I was doing them from memory.

I am truly happy as well. I feel that perhaps the high levels may be a result of the proximity of the tests to the HCG injection....I will the post the exact ranges..I am just to lazy (and it's too damn cold outside) to go outside and get them from my truck. lol....

Sol t these are normal ranges for a man, levels are listed in the forms listed below. As far as I know (not very far as of yet) I can't believe a lab would give you the results in that form. Did you somehow get your results confused?
Swale feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just curious what his levels actually are.

Normal Values
Testosterone 270-1100 ng/dl
Testosterone production is stimulated by Leydig cells in the testicles. Low levels of testosterone combined with low FSH and LH are diagnostic of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

Free Testosterone .95-4.3 ng/dl
% Free Testosterone .3% - 5%
A normal male has about 2% free, unbound testosterone

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) 1-18 mIU/ml
Basic hormone testing for males often only includes FSH and testosterone.

Prolactin < 20 ng/ml
A level two or three times that of normal may indicate a pituitary tumor, such as a prolactinoma, which may lead to decreased sperm production. Elevations can be treated with bromocriptine.

Luteinizing Hormone (LH) 2-18 mIU/ml
LH stimulates Leydig cells and production of testosterone. A problem with LH levels alone is rarely seen, so testing is only needed if testosterone level is abnormal.

Estradiol (E2) 10-60 pg/ml

Progesterone (P4) .3-1.2 ng/ml

My reference ranges were wrong because I did them (and the results) from memory. They do not match the ones you posted , but this is normal since they can vary from lab to lab.

Here are the correct results and ranges. Sorry...

Free Test 126.3 (31-94 PMOL/L)
Total test 49.7 (9-29 PMOL/L)
Boiavail Test 30 (3-16)

Estradiol, liver etc is all normal.

OK, now I am really confused, how could your free test be higher than your total test? I thought bio available test was the same as free test?

Either way I don't know jack about this and I will be the first to admit it, just curious since I am starting HRT.
