Greetings everyone,
I am 30 years old and I am 5’10 and currently weigh 302lbs (Jan 1st I was 335lbs) and I am currently on a journey to get back to my old body prior to my knee injury 7yrs ago on deployment. I had dedicated my life to being in shape through various sports growing up. Then I joined the military as an infantryman and continued to build on my over all health bc I was literally getting paid to look good naked lol. The army was my life long goal and I was crushing it until a destroyed my knee on a patrol. Unfortunately that lead to me having knee surgery and it also ended my dream.
Ever since then I lost all motivation for anything other than working nonstop for my 3 beautiful kids and my wife. Giving them the best life was priority #1. However, about 11 months ago I started having back issues and 6 months ago I developed an ED problem (29 at the time).
I can’t teach my kids to persevere, endure all hardships, and never give up and to build their mental fortitude bc it doesn’t matter what the heart wants if their mental state isn’t healthy then accomplishing their goals will be next to impossible.
Without me leading by example they will surely fail. So this year it was time to kick the self consciousness and laziness to the side. I got back in the gym and started a low carb diet and quickly realized that I seemed lethargic all the time and I didn’t sleep good even though I’m on a CPAP. Therefore, I had my blood work done and my first test showed my testosterone @ 272 and my second test was @ 204. So I started TRT and it has been an absolute game changer. I’ve been crushing it in the gym and even with my low card diet I’m able to sleep for 6 hrs in the morning then take kids to karate/baseball and get a 1.5-2 hr workout depending on how much time I have available bc I work 3rd shift. I currently work 7 days a week and workout 6 days a week and I am slowly trying to work up to my insane workout plan I had back in my army days.
That really sums it up for me and I want to say thank you for reading my intro. I look forward to sharing any knowledge that I can and I also look forward to soaking up as much knowledge as I can so I can continue to grow both physically and mentally.
