My Little Story
So I've been working out since I was 15. Began with Insanity then P90x and eventually the gym. My diet wasn't the best but it's been improving with time. I try to get 1g of protein per pound, sleep 7-8 hours, and tracking workouts making sure I was progressing in my lifts. I struggled a lot seeing all of my peers in High School make progress and know half of the shit that I knew about bodybuilding. Through googling I found out about Hypogonadism and the symptoms matched a lot with what I was going through, especially the lack of secondary male features like facial hair and muscle mass. I was 18 with nothing but peach fuzz as a mustache and didn't even look like I lifted. But I never stopped working out, I might've stopped for a month or two but always got back on track because it did make me feel good at the end of the day but the results weren't there and that also mattered to me.
Went to a couple endocrinologist to check my levels and they all came back 400-500ng/dl which was in range so everything was 'fine'. It was just all in my head according to them. Even after trying to increase levels naturally. Got to the point where I would just say I didn't work out because I didn't want others telling me what I was doing wrong or why I wasn't making any progress. Eventually found this doctor who put me on TRT, 150mg of test cyp every week, he agreed that my levels were low for my age. I began to get facial hair, shoulders got broader, finally got some vascularity, and the gainz that I worked so hard for were finally showing up. All was going good until a year later my doc disappeared(he got locked up for giving out too many opioid scripts lol) and the new doctor that took over said my levels were okay and didn't need to continue with TRT. I was fucking crushed! Had to stop TRT cold turkey, not even a PCT.
I kept trying to find another doctor to prescribe TRT but none did and eventually I just gave up... Im now 23, running 200mg test cyp every week from a local guy a recently found in the gym. It's been only two weeks back on T but I can't wait to see how I feel and look again. I am much more knowledgeable about training and nutrition and Im still learning more every day.
PS The doctor that prescribed my TRT might've been a skeezbag but he was the only one to give me a chance at feeling better and actually let me experience what it feels like to have optimal hormone levels. I would love to hear anyone with similar stories.
