NAD homebrew?

can one make usable NAD+ from the NAD powder found online by selles like BulkSupplements, PureBulk or LongevityPro? or is a completely different thing than the lyophilized NAD+ that is usually sold?
I get it would have to be buffered and likely have a short shelf life, but is it the same molecule? I know you can make glutathione, carnitine and tons of other stuff the same way so I wanted to know if NAD is also like this?

I made 100 mg/ml. Had to add NaOH for it to dissolve. People have given it IV with great success (revrsing tobacco, drug and alcohol addictions).

But it tends to oxidize really fast.

yeah I figure it would oxidize fast, so maybe I'll only make enough for 2-3 weeks at a time. Did you use raws from chinese suppliers or is the powder found on supplements websites the same?

Just make sure to add NaOH veeery slowly. NAD+ solution will oxidize with a lot less NaOH than glutathione for example. It will start getting yellow tint when it oxidizes.

Do not let that happen. Use enough NaOH to get it to dissolve.

But do not take a lot of time adding NaOH because NAD+ oxidizes if it is in acidic solution for too long.

It is tricky at first. Try making small bstches until you get it right.

thank you very much. what ph would you say is ideal? Maybe I could make the NaOH solution first and then add the NAD?

No. Because NaOH soliton would have pH of 14. As soon as your powder hits it it will oxidize.

Somewhere around 7 is ok for it.
ok thank you very much. so BAC water, NaOH and NAD powder.

Sorry just one last thing, is there a practical difference in using NAD+ (oxidised form) and non oxidized NAD?

Wouldn't it be better to make a naOh solution then add it dropwise to the Nad+ solution to adjust the pH? Instead of pellets, i adjust my glut pH using a 50% naOh solution by adding the naOh dropwise using a syringe.
Sure. Why not. But I brewed it so many times that I just know how much I should add so I do not use NaOH solution.

generally, how much NaOH would you use? just add little drops until ph is about 7?
I'll try to make about 10ml at 100mg/ml. will do high dose so likely 200-300mg a week, up to 500 if needed

Is this with raws? I have tried this with my chinese nad+ and it oxidised, but I’m hesitant to keep trying and possibly wasting it.
