Nandrolone + 5ar-inhibitor?

What is the overall consensus on using a 5-ar inhibitor like finasteride with nandrolone?

For example, if I run 300mg test and 300mg nandrolone and experience hair loss from testosterone, would it be stupid to use finasteride to block the DHT?

From my understanding, this would allow nandrolone to directly bind to the androgen receptors instead of DHT, which would cause more hair loss, as nandrolone is more androgenic there.

Is this true? I’ve seen a lot of conflicting opinions on this (some say that nandrolone and DHN are less androgenic than DHT), so I am not quite sure.

Im gonna quote meself:

Nandrolone is normally converted by 5α‑reductase into 5α‑dihydronandrolone (5α‑DHN), which is a much weaker androgen in skin and hair follicles than nandrolone itself.
Dutasteride strongly inhibits both type 1 and type 2 5α‑reductase, cutting serum and tissue DHT by roughly 90–95%, and is very effective for androgenetic alopecia when used with testosterone‑based physiology. With nandrolone, that same 5α‑reductase block prevents conversion to 5α‑DHN, leaving a higher fraction of parent nandrolone, which is more androgenic at the follicle than 5α‑DHN and in this special case can increase skin/scalp androgenicity compared to nandrolone without a 5α‑reductase inhibitor.

Im highly averse to 5α‑reductase inhibitors. Dutasteride is like using a grenade to cut your fingernails. Total overkill. Downstream, DHT turns into very important hormones responsible for a myriad of essential functions, critical for health.
I would resort to minoxidil topical with retinoic acid, and a ketoconazole shampoo with microneedling. If that doesnt work, I would stack a topical dutasteride.
If that doesnt work, lower your AAS doses.
If that doesnt work, try oral dutasteride, but once every ten days on top of topical dut and mino.
If that doesnt work, shave it off.

Bookmarking. I'm planning an HT soon and will need to consider what compounds will be viable post HT.

I am considering this company named minoxidilmax.
I calculated that a custom topical formulation with minoxidil and retinoic acid would cost me ~$30 a month. Not too bad. No prescriptions and crypto pay only, but were used to that.

They take credit cards too. I buy my RU from them.

My problem generally is - I use nandrolone (50-100mg) for joint relief. However at the same time I use 5-ar inhibitors due to hair loss.
So how damaging are the 50-100mg nandrolone to my hair?

I would think 100mg is a pretty conservative dose of deca.

Do you do every day administration? I would do 0.5mg dutasteride every 10 days or do topical dutasteride instead.

I do dutasteride 2x a week, 2mg. I have found that for me 0.5mg was not enough and my hair kept falling out.

Wow. Okay. Have you tried topical administration of dutasteride? What AAS are you on?
300mg test, 100mg tren, 100npp.

Having tried topical dut, as I haven’t really found it + it seems to be more expensive and in my opinion less effective.

I think topical dut is like $45 a month. Kinda pricey. Have you considered dropping the AAS dosing? Why both NPP and tren? Im just curious. Are you a bodybuilding competitor? No offense given. Im a newbie and just a biohacker. Bodybuilders have my respect.
