Navy SEALS and PEDs

They are testing now.

From February 2022 to March 2023, every SEAL and SWCC candidate was tested at every phase of training, said a Naval Special Warfare Command spokesperson. Of 2,558 safe-to-train screening tests, elevated testosterone levels were detected in 74 out of 434 candidates. They were removed from training for follow-on testing by NSW medical and Navy endocrinology.

Three of those candidates tested positive for an anabolic substance. The other 71 candidates either dropped on request (DOR) and left training or returned to training after subsequent tests showed normal levels.

Trans dudes/women won’t make SF standard regardless without substantial degradation in physical requirements. This did make me gag though… so thanks for that @Ghoul heh

There was a thread about this a few years back-probably in the training forum. I was very much on the side of don't be an idiot and try this. If you cannot survive the indoctrination training without the stuff, you stand a huge risk of letting your team down during an operation when you are in an extreme situation and need the stamina to continue.

This testing is a result of the stuff getting a bit out of control and resulting in a kid dying because he was on something. After the death, the house was cleaned up and they did start checking more often to see if anyone was risking themselves or their teams. Thank goodness because the last thing we need is volunteers dying when there is no reason to have such risks.

Can you elaborate on this ? Why shouldn't soldiers be enhanced ? Many types of drugs have been used in the battlefield , PEDs would be the most beneficial.

Agreed. If your best performance is sub-standard for SF without the ped's then that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Oh they are. Modafinil is the newest military "Go" pill for wakefulness and cognitive enhancement.

200mg/wk Test-U was given to Army soldiers on a high physical stress calorie deprived exercise, and found to preserve significantly preserve muscle mass. It was promising enough they've scheduled more trials.

May not be able to get sufficient rations out during remote deployments, but a case of vials and syringes weighs next to nothing.
