Hello gents,

The NBA playoffs are here and once again the West is loaded and the East is full of dogs with the exception of a couple of teams. To support my team I changed my avatar from here on out until the Mavericks season ends.

The Mavs are the highest scoring team in the league and at the same time the worst defensive team. It looks like their first round matchup will be against the mighty Lakers. I hate to get off the subject but isn't KOBE supposed to be on trial for rape?? I guess this is just another case of an athlete receiving preferential treatment.

Every team has a weakness even the Lakers. Their chemistry is of concern for them. Kobe is a ballhog and his team let him know it on Sunday and he only shot a handful of times in the first half. What a baby bitch.

The T-wolves are unproven and have never advanced in the playoffs with this core. They are better this year with key acquistions.

The Spurs are the most boring team on the planet. God I would almost rather watch a WNBA then them.

Sacramento has chemistry issues as well with Webber coming back and their defense is a concern.

The Mavericks road woes is why they are a 5 seed. Last year they had the best road record in the league but have been terrible this year. They still own the best record at home and are without question the most exciting team in the league.

Shaq can foul a whole team out. Malone gets almost a triple double everytime he logs good minutes. Payton will score his points. Kobe is the biggest ball hog since mj. He hurts the team. especially with his whiny ass.Just checked, he shot 29 damn times for his 45 points. Didnt even shoot 50%. Shaq will make 60%. The two games b4 that he was 14 of 49. Yeah he needs to shoot more my ass. Fucking ball hogg lmao I totally agree about it being a tough road to the finals in the west. Denver would almost be a lock if they were in the east

I think the question of who is more valuable to the Lakers is simple. Shaq alone dominates teams and is unstoppable to 28 or so teams. Kobe may score 40 on occassion but he is throwing up more shots then anyone on that team.

You take Shaq out of the equation the Mavs destroy them in a 7 game series. Kobe is one of the best but he is a little bitch sometimes like we saw Sunday in Sacramento. If the Shaq-less lakers want to play showtime with the Mavs, bring that shit on. We have more firepower then anyone and Kobe would fall right into the trap of running and gunning and the Lakers would be so out of their element. Shaq however is a force to be reckoned with. Remember the Lakers record early on without Shaq. They were below .500 and were out of the playoff picture.

He was 14 of 29 from the field...That is great, shooting 50% is something very few guys do...If you shoot over 46% you are shooting well, especially for a guard...Big guys will shoot 52-53% but they are dunking and not taking any 3's...

So the odds of him making two free throws are (.52)(.52) = 27.04% The odds of him missing both free throws are (.48)(.48)= 23.04% The odds of him making only one free throw is 100 - (27.04+23.04)= 49.92% Those are TERRIBLE odds for the Lakers.

Kobe means much more to the Lakers than Shaq.

All of that math is giving me tiredhead I agree with you there that Shaq is terrible but that is his only flaw. Teams have to plan on how to attack the big man where they really don't have to gameplan for Kobe.

A quick pop quiz. Who invented Hack A Shack? That would be the great Don Nelson. Now maybe some people would agree with you that Kobe is more important to their team. As a Mavs fan I can only comment on how they stack up against them.

The Mavs beat the Lakers without question if Shaq is not there. My only concern would be Malone playing center but that gets back to the importance of the center which history has said is the most important position on the court. MJ is certainly the exception there, but generally when you stop a team's dominant big man, you have a good chance to come out victorious. If Shaq plays and Kobe is out, which he should be in court by the way, the Lakers still win that series.

I would concur maybe Kobe would be more important against other teams but as far as my team's needs are concerned, Shaq is the key.

you guys go off of Kobes 1 good game every 10 games. this game(one of his best ever) he was 14 for 31 . shaq was 12 for 20. Lets do your math once again. What if shaq shot 31 times? Shaq had 14 rebounds, kobe had 8. Ok, how about assists. Shaq 5, kobe 5. Steals? now this is where defense comes into play. A good guard that plays defense and doesnt worry about points should rule this statistic. Shaq- 4 Kobe -1. Yeah that fucker was playing some major "D". Blocks- shaq 4, Kobe-1. Shaq dominated the box score, played 5 less minutes. His downfall is the free throws. Kobe was only 5 for 9 on free throws and like i said bryant missed 2 free throws with 55 seconds left and fouled patterson with 9 seconds left. This foul shouldve cost them the game but patterson choked. There is a lot more to the game than a shot at the buzzer. Yet, dipshit kobe is on espn news for making the final shot.



What about the two free throws Kobe missed and the fould kobe did that gave them a chance to seal the win if the dude wouldnt have choked. Lets not focus on one prayer. We are talking a whole game here. Of course Kobe is more important in the final 2-3 minutes. For a whole game it isnt even close. Talk to every coach in the NBA and they all say Shaq is the one guy in the league nobody can defend. W/o shaq, lakers arent in the playoffs. W/o kobe, lakers still are in contention for a title.
