Need advice from car guys

The guy at NAPA said a pipe wrench will open it up where I can swap it and then tighten it back.



I'm a couple states away for work at the moment. Soon.



Yeah, it was a friend of my brother offered to do some work cheap awhile back. Was hurting for money at the time.

No disrespect to your friend bud. Thought maybe it was a shop. Maybe he didn't know any better. One would assume he took them off but never put them back. All you should need is a ball joint splitter and a hammer to seperate the lower or upper. Pretty easy job.

No, it's all good. Brother's friend, not mine, although he has a shop. I actually quit going to him because he did some brake work on another car of mine and forgot to tighten the lug nuts and the wheel almost fell off.

My dad was a Gasser drag racer in the 50"s & 60"s . He had a "32 Ford 5-window coupe and raced against the 55 Chevys , Willy"s & Anglias of the day . B-Gas mostly . His 1/4 mile B-Gasser records stood for many years . RIP Dad .

Not open for business to everyone luckily. Just a kid doing unofficial work out of his dad's shop. I really should've asked around more before having him do anything.
