Im dying at around a 150lbs now since being ill, how am i ever gonna come back from this?, i can barely eat more than 1000cals a day, cant lift anything, fatigued all the same, bloated, drinking loads of alcohol, everything i gained and done seems a lifetime away now, i wouldnt even know where to start anymore, you guys are the best.

yea bro? whats holding you back? you sick? or just loss of will power? let us know whats going on and we will try our best to help..

Sound like you need a helping hand bro.
You better update us on you're health issues.I've been going through some myself the last 7 weeks.I haven't been able to touch a weight.

Hey sup guys my health issues have gotten better, i just gotta go for a scope scan but i feel better and no more bloat which i can only put down to the pylori infection i had and it must take a few months to get back to normal.

Ive lost everything i ever gained now though, i can barely even bench 20kilos or eat anything, just seems to far gone now, how am i ever going to eat 4000 cals a day again if i cant even eat barely a 1000 now? Even worse than that im a 150lbs now from a 170 and i think the only thing thats gooing to help me is food at this point now gear.

20 pounds pure muscle is a sad thing to see go, but you can get it back. You are going to need to force food into you until your appetite returns. The docs will fix you up and you'll bet better, but for now just keep on pressing, do your damndest to lift - even if it is only bodyweight and one friggin rep. Anything is better than nothing.

There's no reason to get down bro. Once a person gains the amount of weight you have, and they lose it somehow, its always easier to gain it back a second time. Right now is not the time to dwell on the negatives of your situation, but rather do what you need to do to get yourself back to 100%. When you get back to that we'll all help you take the necessary steps to get you back where you need to be. Keep your head up man, everything is going to work out, I can promise you that.

I have a Friend that went to Indian and caught an awful stomach bug ,that stuffed his guts up and he lost an incredible amount of weight.
He said it took about a year to recover.
The reason is for the ong recovery is, that it stuffs all your good stomach enzyme cultures etc and the absorption of food is so much more difficult.
I have read the use of pro-biotic food supplements is supposed to aid recovery.

yea bro it will get better...stay positive, I will say this and hopefully it will cheer up your mood on things....Muscle memory! dude you will get back to 170 way easier than before after all the health issues completely clear up and you can get your diet back you will be back in the game in no time dude....actually, after taking a long break like what you are pretty much forced on till this point is helpful in the long run....ive hit plateaus at 225lbs...and ate and ate and trained and trained, could never get over it man...then i actually gave up said fuck the diet and fuck it all...I went off my diet and training for 1 month and lost down to 215 and actually gained a lil fat....well i got back in the game and over passed my plateau!! same diet and training as before.....i asked a couple of old school bodybuilders in the gym ( and i meen two of them almost had there pro card) they said that taking a complete break shocks your body and makes you over pass plateus after you start your routine bak...so keep your head up bro!!;)

Thanks for the kind words.

i have decided to go back to the gym as of next week, even though i wont be eating a lot and i probably wont grow or recover as quick, it will be still better than doing nothing and at lease my body will be in a better fighting condition than it will be if I hang on until my insides are better for eating.

At least something will happen.

Hey Bro, "wraithgs" stole my thunder but he is right on, muscle memory is the key, you should bounce back without much of a problem, it will take some time of course but it will be much easier to get that 20lbs back than it woud have been to gain 20lbs and move up to 190 from 170.

When you do feel your healthy enough, EQ is a good choice for gear since a lot of guys say it stimulates their appetite. I know you're not ready for that now but for future consideration perhaps.

Andy, you did it once, you can do it again. No need for anabolics bro,you know better.I was sick and on chemo and dropped to 129 lbs bro..I just about laid down and died.Good lifting partners picked me up and you should see me today 60 lbs heavier.Add 200 extra cals to your diet every 2-3 days and you will be eating large again in no time.;)

Thanks karch and im glad I can be of some service and good info Dennis bro.
Its just making that first step back into it i think, once Ive been back next week im sure ill be right again in no time and the rest will come back to me.

Im going to be stearing clear from the top half of this board from next week onwards and spending most if not all of it on the bottom half.

ill update in a few weeks when ive got back into the swing of it again.
