New equipment at my gym

I do pull downs with a wide grip bar on a machine. Every once in a while i'll hit a couple sets on the pull up bar but not often. I'm might put pull ups in my routine. What does your pull up routine look like and what kind of grip do you use on them?

I hit them twice a week currently, various reps and added weight. I usually stick to chin ups out of personal preference. I feel like the longer range of motion allowed by chin ups provides a much better stretch of the lats than a wide grip pull up.

If I'm doing just bodyweight I'll do 3 sets of 10-15. If I'm adding weight I'll usually do 3 sets of 5-8, depending on how much weight I'm adding. Last 3x5 weighted chin up day was with +105lbs.

Today is shoulder and back day for me. Im going to incorporate some pull ups or chin ups in my routine. I'll start out at 3 sets of body weight and see how many I can get done per set. +105 is hardcore.

Well, tonight at my gym they were unloading a bunch of new tanning beds in the parking lot. I guess they're replacing the old ones. More equipment I wont use. Good to know my annual equipment maintenance fee is going to good use...........

My gym sure did put the $39 annual dues that I paid to good use. New benches and new machines plus new Rogue bars. Just need new plates and DB's now...

Now think of the ladies that will be using those new tanning beds :)

I guess I have to retract my statement about the jungle gym looking thing they just put in. I checked it out a little better and on the back side it has a squat rack on one corner and a place to do deadlifts on the other corner.

You wanna see some jungle gym shit? Got this at my gym last winter. It's called a Precor queenax, functional training on steroids. I think it's an over priced storage container.

Bro...how did you overlook a whole squat rack and deadlift platform??? Lol thats good news thougg!

Lol. They do have a lot of expensive stuff at my gym and its pretty well equipped but it is missing some stuff that I would really like to have while at the same time it has a lot of stuff i dont use. There are a lot of people that goes there though so im sure they will get plenty of use out of this new thing they got. I just think it was unnecessary since we have machines that does all that stuff. All we gained was monkey bars and pegs going down one side to climb on.............oh and a trampoline to talk to.

A pic just wouldn't have been good enough. New equipment at the gym I go to. They call it Pole Fitness. Lmao

Look at the picture again dude in the back is ether kicking at nothing or the chicks head in front of him:eek:

I'd kill, well hurt someone bad, for something like that at the gym I go to, which is the only one close. I'll get a pic tomorrow of the new "equipment" they just got. Lol
Sounds like the gym I go to. It looks just like the ones in pumping iron but smaller lol. Also the bearings are 30 years old so I can do cable tricep push downs at about 80lbs at my gym and can do 150+ at newer ones lol
