Hello, new member here!

I'm a 48 year old bikini competitor who's looking to bust through a plateau. I've been lifting for about 6 years now, and I think I may have hit my natural genetic potential. I'd like to take a conservative approach and essentially swap out 5lbs of fat for 5lbs of muscle. I could also use a little more stamina as I just started prepping for a show.

Looking forward to learning from other members. Thanks for being so forthcoming with your experiences!

Welcome to Meso and I hope you enjoy your time here. There are a few very knowledgeable women here that should be able to help you a considerable amount.

@GearGodess you might be of great use to this young lady. I'm 50 @VM1969 so I can call you young lol

haha, thank you. It's an uphill battle for sure!
Thanks for tagging @GearGodess. I'm VERY new to all of this so any and all info shared is much appreciated!

I'll post pics later, but here are my stats:

48 years old, 5'7", 138 lbs
50min fasted AM cardio, 5x per week
5x weightlifting per week

I currently eat 6 meals a day, plus post workout shake. Super clean. Roughly 3oz veggies, carbs & protein per meal. Approx 1800 kcal.

I've got a show beginning of May, and am starting prep this week. Which means 6 ultra-clean meals p/ day (no more shakes.. :-(...) and an extra 20min of cardio 5x per week for now.

I'm torn between primo or var. Don't want to stack on my first cycle and want to keep dosage low, to monitor sides and slowly ease into it.

I was thinking 4-6 week cycle, depending how long it takes me to get the gear.

Any thoughts on the above? Constructive criticism is welcome!

Primo. Var is likely to make you hold fluid

Edit: Var is a pretty dry aas for guys but women tend to hold fluid while using it. All women that I know of that have tried primo loved it so much they never wanted to get off lil

Which ester of primo are you thinking about trying?

Thanks! That's what I thought as well. One more question: is the oral form going to be ok for what i'm trying to do? I'm too chicken-shit to inject! lol

I'm not sure about the oral form. My wife uses primo enanthate and injects it with a 28g insulin needle @ 25mg twice a week. You should start low like 40-50 a week until you know how it will affect you since enanthate will take several weeks to clear your system. You could try the primo acetate version but it is supposed to have pretty wicked pip.

Oral primo will allow you to better adjust your dosage. This might be a benefit your first time around.

Acetate being the oral form, correct? And yeah, that's what I'd have to do. I'd faint if I had to inject myself!! One more thing, what's pip? :-)

Pip is post injection pain. There is also an injectable acetate version. Half life is around 2 days so it requires every other day (eod) injections. But it has been known to have a bit of a bite. Most prefer the injectable enanthate for ease of dosing and only twice a week injections. I've seen this stuff work miracles on women.

As I said, I'm not that familiar with the oral version except I've heard that it seems quite a bit weaker than the injectable version.

ah, gotcha. Well, since I'm just starting, i'm ok with a weaker version for my first cycle. I'm not looking for crazy, quick gains. I've been living this lifestyle for a long time, and hope to continue to do so for many more years. Slow and steady wins the race for me :-)
