Hello

I am 30yrs old, 6'1, 290lbs

I compete in powerlifting raw with s/b/d currently 700/460/780 raw

I was on trt 150mg/week for a year before I dabbled with upping the dose to 600/week and tried tbol as my first oral and had a good experience, so after I rehab an injury I have I look to experiment more... trying to keep too much more weight off though and stick to strength gains only.

Jesus you may be the strongest guy on this board. Those are some impressive numbers! If I can ever pick your brain a little on programming I'd love to learn! I'm a bodybuilder so it's a different world

I tore my quad squatting in my last meet. Just a partial tear in the VL but enough to necessitate some time off and a lot of physical therapy :(

Sorry to hear bro. Hope you have a quick recovery.

So have you tried any other compounds besides test and tbol?

No, that's it for now. I am interested in trying anadrol if I can get more peoples' opinions on it. Some make it sound like guaranteed huge weight gain, some make it seem like it's possible to just get the strength without filling up with water. I haven't looked too hard since I don't have anything to peak for until next spring.

I have tried test cyp/e and prop to get a feel for the different esters, never tried tne though, not sure if i want to. i have gotten great results so far from just test and the mildest oral out there so i am hesitant to add a ton of other shit, and am too lazy to pin every day.

I feel the same way about pinning. I like to keep to the long esters so I only have to pin twice a week. Stick to Test E or Cyp.

For strength gains I've had great experiences with deca, tren, superdrol, anadrol and dbol. My lifts always go up when I add one of those compounds.

Deca is great on your joints too which is a big plus for powerlifting.

Hey dude welcome. Awesome lifts. You would like anadrol. Great strength gains. Yes you may retain water but it falls off as quickly as it comes on once you discontinue use.

I have a very basic approach to programming. It is very boring and vanilla and it works awesome for me. For instance my last offseason, I used a generic "football offseason weight program" from a local school. Just linear periodization. My peaking for meets is basic too but I have adapted it to fit myself; I have learned how my body responds best to stimulus.

The main thing that gives me the best results is that I don't overtrain. I leave a lot of gas in the tank. In the two months before my last meet, for example, I benched mostly in the low-mid 300s for work sets. Only the last 3 weeks did I touch 400+ lbs, and in my meet I pressed 457 which was a big PR for me in gym or meet setting.

Whats your rep range and how many sets?

Great PR bro, congrats

it's different for each lift, and whether or not you are talking off-season or meet prep.
for squat and bench meet prep, i will do 2-3 sets of 8 reps for a couple weeks, then 2 sets of 6 for a couple weeks, then two sets of 4 four a couple weeks, down to doubles and triples last few weeks of training.

off-season on bench i tend to do 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps, sometimes (once a month or so) I'll go heavier and do some heavy doubles or triples (still not going to failure though) in place of the sets of 8. off-season squat I do all sorts of random shit and variations.

deadlift never over 5 reps ever, never heavy two weeks in a row ever, offseason or meet prep. my last meet prep, my biggest set on deadlift was 725x4 (also one of only 2 times i went over 700 in the entire meet prep), i never went heavier than that (735 was a 1 rep PR before this) and i hit 783 in my meet with a torn quad from squats so I think i could have touched 800 if i was healthy.

less is more for me.

most powerlifters you see lifting heavy all the time for IG views then they show up to a meet and bomb out or lift less than they do in training. that's fucking lame

Very impressive bro. Wonder what a couple of good cycles will do to those lifts.

Welcome to Meso.

I got fantastic strength gains from Anavar with very little weight gain. I was running 300mg a week of test cyp, 40mg ED of Anavar and less than 10mg ED of injectable superdrol. The superdrol was just for the last week or two because I had just the last of a bottle. It was just a screw around mini blast with some odds and ends I had left in my stash and I did a mock meet at the end. The anavar was left over from my ex doing a cycle. Just ran it for a month. I was shocked by the strength gains. Hit a 50lb squat PR at 550lbs and a 35lb bench PR at 405lbs. Deadlift I was coming back from several months off due to an injury, so nothing great there. Bodyweight only went up like 7lbs during that time.

Anavar really is underrated... Have to watch a few health markers but it's really quite mild as far as sides.

It made a noticeable difference in cutting the fat off of my midsection when I was cutting this past spring.

I'm looking forward to running it again in the next few months. Definitely underrated and called a chick steroid, but I think it's great for strength.

Agreed. Gives me a nice sense of well being too. I'm taking 50mg now... 100mg was cool as shit.

I did 40mg last time. Next time I'm running 50mg of var with 50mg of drol. I get good strength gains off drol, but more than 50mg gets me super lethargic. I'm hoping a mix of a smaller dose of both will be great strength gains with no sides. Haven't really seen anything online about it, so kind of an experiment.

I have read of a nice synergy between the two. interested to see what you think.
