New lab results with major concerns - please help!

Re: Complete follow-up labs finally in - please review and advice!

Phil... that's what confuses me and I reallly wish I could say I possibly heard them wrong... except the statement is in writing via e-mail. I have responsed asking for clarification and I will be getting my bloodwork re-done on Thursday so I will keep you updated.

Maybe they meant you could not be classified as hypogonadal while on the Androgel?

This would seem a strange statement though, because I would have thought hypogonadism would refer to you underlying natural lack of testosterone - but perhaps not. Even so, it is possible to still have very low levels on 5g gel.

Well I just got the response from my Doc and Ruper you were exactly correct... what was meant was that the 5g Androgel application is keeping my T levels in normal range. It was also stated that I am rather lucky because I am absorbing so well.

Because they had concerns over the last lab results, I will take new labs tomorrow. Once those results come back the Doc's will fine tune my regimine which will hopefully resolve some of the subjective issues I still have

MAJOR stress Maxim... lost my job after 7 years due to government grant reductions and now searching for work while also trying to start a new business... after reading about cortisol I was not surprised at the level and my earlier blood work showed good cortisol levels so hopefully that is the answer ...and your right about the body fat... I am not happy with myself since I used to be between 12% and 16%... I will work on it...
If you read the Adrenal Sticky at the top, you will read about how many are considering that the ranges for Cortisol are flawed. Your morning Cortisol level was 21, according to thier observations that is not a high level of Cortisol... It could infact be low. An AM level of around 30 is what a healthy male should have, in thier opinion.
If you are under alot of stress and have been for some time, it is quite possible that your Adrenals are tired and not capable of delivering enough Cortisol when you need it.

Matt,
Don't want you to think that I am ignoring your post... definitely not... still trying to read and absorb the Adrenal thread :-) and I am busy as hell right now

OK guys here are the latest lab results... and they certainly seem to be different than the previous labs which were in question:

5/03/06
Total T = 631 (250-1100)
Bioavailable = 221 (110-575)
Free T = 103 (46-224)
SHBG = 27 (7-50)
Estradiol = 32 (13-54)
Albumin = 4.7 (3.5-4.9)

I am anxious to see what the doctors have to say now...

I am still waiting for my docs to get back with me after reviewing the latest labs but I wanted to update this with some additional findings: I am now on TRT for 84 days and my testicals have now definitely shrunken and gotten very tight... I am really hoping my docs add the HCG protocol into my HRT.

10 days ago I added 25mg of DHEA to my supplements and have definitely noticed that I wake up every morning with a "woodie". I take it first thing in the morning when I wakeup along with some CLA and Sytrinol which are both oil based supplements. When I get my next set of labs done I will ask for a DHEA test as well.

I am wondering if I should start a new thread since I no longer have "major concerns" about the lab results but I would like to continue posting my lab work and log my protocol and observations/results???

I tried doing this at the H2 group and it got boring and long. So what I do is post a new thread linking back to the last one and so on this way if someone wants to keep going back and reading them all he can by hitting the links to go back to the last one. When you have a long runing post most will just skip it.

I will definitely start a new thread soon but in the mean time my docs reviewed my labs and decided to discount the first set as a fluke but use the second set as valid. With said I have just started 100IU of HCG daily to supplement my daily 5G Anrdrogel. The only concern my docs had so far was watching my E2 level so they don't raise much further.
