What’s up everyone, technically this is my 2nd post, as I did so without reading the rules. Sorry about that. Long time lurker of MESO, I was a lot more active on forums back in the reddit SST days. Just looking to join a community and share/gather knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years.

Just a 37 year old dad, been lifting since high school, been dabbling with AAS for about 10-12 years on and off. I herniated my l4-s1 deadlifting way back when. Squatting and deadlifting are pretty much gone from my training routine unfortunately, if my back flares up I can’t walk or wipe my ass for about a week. My goals nowadays are to stay as lean as I can year around while holding onto a decent amount of muscle. My days of wanting to be a 210-220 lb guy are long gone, I’m currently 180lbs 5’9 I’d say somewhere around 10-12% BF. Anyways, happy to be here!

Welcome. Do you plan on addressing your disc issues surgically at some point? I have a shit ton of spinal issues in several places but the horror stories about bad fusions and replacements has kept me away.

From what I understand, the true success rates aren’t fantastic for surgery. As you said - the “horror stories” I’ve definitely heard my far share as well. My fear is going through the rehab of the surgery just to slip the disc again putting me back to square one. Nothings for sure/guaranteed I get that but at this point in my life I’ve chalked it up to it is what it is.
