New Member... Looking for advice

Hello!

I’ve been poking around here for a bit, and I want to introduce myself formally. I’ve been lifting for about three years, doing all sort of experimenting, reading articles and randomly experimenting with supplements and training at random. I feel like I’m finally starting to see some results using fish oil and Animal M-Pak before my workout (almost always in the am) and later in the day I’ll do the Animal Pak. Chris Gethin’s Muscle Building Trainer on bodybuilding.com is the last routine I’ve been doing, but it gets a little frustrating because some workouts are almost two hours long, but it’s getting me some good results.

I’m not sure what stats you need. I really want to build muscle. I like seeing me grow, and, someday, I think it would be fun to get into competition shape and try competing. But, for now, I want to build. I don’t have any weights or measurements. I can try later. I’m 37 years old, and 5’7”. As you can tell from my pictures, I have a fair amount of fat on me. That’s definitely a concern, too. But my priority right now is to build muscle.

My wife and I are trying for a baby, so a steroid cycle right now isn’t really an option, but I am open to experimenting in the future.

Anyways, thoughts on finding a plan? How do you go from casual experimenter to full on bodybuilder? How do you find a coach on a limited budget?

Hello sir,

Steriods don't make u a bodybuilder man, being a bodybuilder looks like it's way over your head. Sorry but if anyone tells u any different there fucking lieing to you. Go ahead and get on a diet and get lean Enough to see your abs... Don't fucking touch gear. You have no idea what you're getting into and no idea what bodybuilding is...
You wanna fuck your life up, start playing with your hormones. You'll get no benefit until u build a solid base and learn how to train and diet.

Get a personal trainer at the gym, and read about bodybuilding on line.

Don't get upset with this kind of response. Use it to help steer you into the direction of success...

Good luck.

If bodybuilding, especially competing one day, is a passion of yours then you need to learn to devote a significant chunk of your life to it. Just like any passion you'd want to take from a hobby to the next level.

Diet is crucial. Putting in the hours at the gym is second, but make sure you have your diet where it needs to be and you'll start dropping fat and building muscle. It won't happen overnight and you'll get frustrated as shit along the way. Don't let it hold you back. Keep training, keep eating right, and you'll see noticeable differences.

As far as a trainer, this is the internet, bro... there's a gazillion and one regimens to choose from. Find one that fits your abilities and go from there. Once it's too easy, move on to something different. Something harder. Keep pushing yourself daily.

When his diet is where it needs to be, you say he will drop fat and build muscle?

I highly recommend a personal trainer at least for a few weeks or months. They can help show you how to go extremely hard. Each workout is a chance to see how far your mind can push your body. That's the mentality you want, and that's also how you want to approach your diet and recovery. Research diet extensively, it might be 60% of the battle. Once you get to the point when you are going as hard as you can, diet is on point and you start struggling to put on muscle and burn fat, then maybe consider some extra help. Consider that with caution if you are happily married

Simultaneously that is impossible to do, Especially natural.

Kid... Fat guys are the populace where this works. You are confusing body types here. Appreciate the newfound change in attitude though.

He has the metabolic reserves to draw energy from without staying in a catabolic or near catabolic state.

You have too much adipose tissue to be worrying about bulking up.

That fat is actively working against you as a giant dispersed gland pushing all sorts of counterproductive shit into your blood.

Start with Dr. Jordan Feigenbaum or someone of his caliber for both program and nutrition coaching.

Nail that down, drop the fluff... THEN we can talk about AAS.
