39/M/ living in the U.S. I've been on TRT for about 10 years now. Started getting my testosterone injections at the doctor's office, and the difference it made in my life was incredible. No more 2 hour naps mid-day, no more constant fatigue, and it actually made my mood more calm. I'm guessing the "roid rage" stereotype was mostly propaganda, and possibly from other compounds, which I've read can cause some aggression issues, to some degree. It may have made my gym work more productive but honestly I couldn't tell a difference. It was a little easier to lose the belly fat, so I did notice that aspect.
I did a ton of research before going the TRT route, and the more I did the more I realized that, in my opinion, NOT going on TRT would likely have worse effects on me physiologically than even the worst side effects I'd read about from TRT. In fact, the risks with a couple other hormonal supplements seemed incredibly low and I utilized Nandrolone a few times as well, with no observed side effects. Please keep in mind, anyone who reads this, that this is just the conclusion I came to and I'm not making any recommendations, other than to get your testosterone checked by your doctor and keep an open mind about testosterone supplementation.
I ended up deciding to home brew my own testosterone enanthate as opposed to shelling out $240/mo to my doctor, and that has also gone very well for the past 10 years (Had one small issue with pip with one batch that I was able to solve and actually used the batch successfully after reducing the concentration). Went to a new doctor who is more familiar with this do-it-yourself practice and have gotten regular bloodworm these past 10 years as well. Not much to report, really. I don't have any recommendations to make other than have an open, inquisitive, mind and get your testosterone checked by your doctor. That's my story. Happy to help anyone who might have questions, but I'll literally NEVER tell you what you should do nor physically provide anyone with anything (sorry, you'll have to find your own sources and make your own testosterone injections...lol). But if you're looking for a perspective, I'm happy to discuss. I'm not a body builder and I have only taken enough testosterone to get my blood concentration levels to a high normal, so maybe that more conservative experience might be helpful to someone. Hopefully I'm a good fit for this community and can offer as much as I gain. Thanks.
