Hello fellow bruhs.

I am new here. Been lurking for a few months. Here is my story.

Moved to USA feom Canada in March of 2024. Had been feeling like garbage for a few years. Found out that i have a tumor on my spine that if they cut it out they would have to sever a nerve and i may have numbness in my legs and they would have to fuse 3 vertebrae together. That didnt fly with me. I was also way overweight hotting 273 at my heaviest.

Before I left Canada got my bloodwork done and my test was 181, have had 2 more come back at like 250 and 325. So low test. Went to a clinic and got trt. They freaked out when my hematocrit was 56 and my estrogen 92, so they told me to go off and start anastrazole 1mg for 6 weeks, this of course crashed my test again, and crashed my estrogen, got really bad swollen knees and ankles and couldnt walk for almost 2 months. Needless to say got a new doctor.

New doctor wasnt any better, didnt listen to me, lowered my trt to 100mgs/wk. And wanted to put me on 2 statins, even though i was already taking red yeast rice, which means i would have been on 3 statins. So i said F that, I went UGL and got my own test and after much consideration, went on 300mgs/wk in mid July. Started gaining strength in the gym, went from only being avle to do 1 or 2 dips at 267 bodyweight to doing 20 in mid october doing sets to failure down to 4-5 reps.


On october 10th started RETA at 1mg twice a week. Then after 3 weeks went to 2 mgs twice a week. Am 9 weeks in now sitting at 237.4 from 267.8. Cholesterol dropped. Dramatically. Went from LDL 250 in May to 150 now. Total cholesterol is almost in range at 220 looking to get under 200.

Here is my RETA experience.

Oct 10 - 267.8 1mg friday and tuesday for total 2mgs/wk

Oct 18 - 7lbs in 7 days

Oct 21 258.2 9.5 lbs in 11 days

Oct 31 254.8. Switched to 4mgs, 2mgs friday and tuesday

Nov 1 254.2. Close enough to 14 lbs in 3 weeks. Off by less than 1/2 lb. Scratch that, worked on my truck all day, tonight was 251.4. Thats 16.5 lbs in 21 days.

Nov 12 - 249.8, going to update tomorrow with the 33 day update, should be good.

Nov 14 248.6,

Nov 21 246.2

Nov 24 245.6 before gastric emptying. Likely under 245, see tomorrow.

Nov 25. 245.8, did fasted walking for 1/2 hr weighed again 244.8, 23 lbs in 45 days

Dec 1 243.something. forgot the last number

Dec 2 242.2. 25.5 lbs in 52 days. Today i got my bloodwork drawn. Find out in 7 days whats what.

Dec 4 239.6 so close to 30lbs 54 days, looking to hit 237.8 in 56 days, can I do it? Tomorrow is 6am start, 1/2 hr walking and 1/2 hr sauna, cmon baby. I would settle for 30lbs in 60 days, but 30lbs in 56 days. would be a nice BOOST!!! Haha. Ate a lot of potatoes tonight, see if i gain weight tomorrow. So depleted lately though, sometimes feel lethargic, carbs will probably do me good at this point.

Dec 5th 239.0. 1.2 lbs left for 30 lbs. Guess the potatoes did me good.

Dec 6th woke up 240.2, if i had gone to the gym this morning i would have dropped 3lbs as has been the case after 1/2 hour of fasted walking and 1/2 hour sauna, but i needed a day off. See what happens this week.

Dec 7 woke up after a night of dinner with friends and a few drinks at 244.6, know its only food and water weight. Went to gym and did legs and 1/2 hr walking. See about tomorrow

Dec 8, woke up 242.2 went to gym, 1/2 hr fasted walking, 1/2 hr sauna home 239.0 again. Tomorrow should be down again. Water weight be gone.


Dec 14, 237.4 felt like crap the last 2 days, had to up carbs to get some energy back. 1/2 hr walking and 1/2 hr sauna, lost 3 lbs.
See what this weeks holds. Was sruck for a week and started dropping again so likely out of the stall. Today is 9 weeks 1 day into reta.


All I can say is RETA is awesome, you dont need that much. Am gonna stay on for another 12 weeks but may drop down to 2mgs/wk so I can eat more cause in the new year i am gonna blast for a while to put on a bunch of muscle then cut again before beach time.
