Hey folks, long time lurker here. I am 38F and an ex-recreational bodybuilder (researcher, natty, amateur; competed once in WNBF ages ago). Was diagnosed with Lyme as a young adult and long story short, had to drop everything fitness-related to devote the little energy I had to my career to earn a living and pay med bills.
After many years of failed treatment attempts, thousands of $$ lost, and increasingly severe symptoms, I was in a pretty bad state (to put it mildly).
In the past year I stumbled across the work of Dr. Kent Holtorf which proposed the use of peptides to treat chronic, immune-compromising illnesses such as Lyme and CFS.
This revelation was my gateway into the bio-hacking space. Since then I’ve been conducting my own experiments/research which have surprisingly yielded greater results than my past decade and a half+ of treatments have combined.
Now, I’m looking to get ‘back to my roots’ in the bodybuilding space again and research what scientific advances have been made since I left it all of those years ago.
I’m hopeful that there will come a time in the near future that I can begin the journey to regain what I lost and achieve the dreams I never got the chance to pursue. And I want to be prepared with an actionable plan and all the tools I’ll need to execute it when that day comes. Which is why I’m here. =)
Anyway, that’s me in a nutshell. Appreciate the community y’all have created here and stoked to finally be a part of it!
