Permanent gastroparesis is scarily not uncommon with it.

Gastroparesis is, albeit rarely, possible from metformin as well. I believe that is what caused my gastric issues and potential gastroparesis. It’s shown up in literature

It's the same mechanism of action. Metformin increases endogenous glp-1, just to a much lesser agonization extent than glp-1 substrate peptides
