New to Brew questions..

Hello all. I'm going to take a crack at brewing in the next few months, so I'm starting my research now. I'm not looking for a hand out, just a point in the right direction. I've been reading a lot of stuff here, and checking out basskiller as well. I found a recipe for cyp..

http://www.basskilleronline.com/test_cypionate.shtml

.. And I was wondering what the "magic solution" is? I've looked all over that site and can't find it. I could definitely be overlooking it, because I've gotten lost in that site a few times.

I also found this long ester recipe..

http://www.basskilleronline.com/steroids-converting-powders.shtml

.. And was wondering if this one would be better? If not maybe point me in the right direction?

I'm not ready yet, by any means, but I'm having fun doing the research. I've seen a few lists of materials on here, and on that second link I posted. I'm waiting on results from a powder source by a couple guys on this forum. If it turns out good, I might bite the bullet and start my brew. I apologize if these links have already been discussed or if I'm not supposed to post them. I've read a few pages deep in homebrew section, and couldn't find anything cyp specific. Again, I could've easily overlooked it. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. If you don't feel comfortable posting in this thread, feel free to PM any suggestions.

Thanks Again,

Wow. Thanks @A-a-Ron that looks like a lot of good info. I've got quite a bit of reading ahead of me. It's ok though.. I just got out of surgery, and I've got a head full of percosets, so I'll be up all night anyway. Oh, and you can call me Doc Brown, inventor of the flux capacitor. It's what makes time travel possible, and where we're going, we don't need roads. Haha!

No problem! I'd start with the recipes and work out from there. To me it seems easier that way. Good luck with the recovery. A head full of percocets keep me up scratching my nuts off!!!

You hit the nail on the head. I'm itching like crazy! Man, I really am so grateful for that link. I've just been reading through that first section, and there's more info in there than I found of two weeks browsing through the homebrew section. Thanks again! I owe you one.

Keep me posted on how it goes and on your first brew. I was looking to try to find information on displacement when I found that little gem. It covers a good bit of everything.

@A-a-Ron I read through most of those posts last night, and today. I did notice a couple of the cyp recipes were copies of that first link I posted with the "magic solution". Any idea what that is?

A mixture of BA and BB... That's it. No magic really

I was actually reading on that same site, and finally came upon something that talked about the magic solution, but there's had EO in it too. I was reading that a lot of people refuse to use EO though. I would think I should probably steer clear of EO as a beginner, until I understand it better. The thread said that you could just replace EO with more carrier oil in the recipe. Have you ever used EO, and is mainly for less pip? Thank you for the response, and the help.

Lots of people have a reaction
To EO.
Could ruin it for you stay simple and do a small batches until
You get it rite.
Being staril is most important

Thanks man. I'm getting a lot of good info. And very thankful for it. I think I'm still a few months out on trying, but im excited to have control over my own shit. I'm really interested in getting the recrystallization thing down before I even attempt. Thanks again!

EO thins the oil out so you can get higher concentrations and get it to flow through smaller pins. Some ppl have allergic reactions to it but not everybody. I personally stay away from it bc I've seen what it can do to rubber stoppers after a while. Also if you do use EO, never pre load your syringes and let them sit.

Thanks guys! I'm learning a lot. The Cyp conversion seems like a fairly simple recipe. I did get some helpful insights on when to add oil, ba, and bb. Thanks so much!

Just gotta make sure that the powder is FULLY melted when heating it up.....it takes a while as well. It's a little more finicky to work with than test e.

Hmm, that's good to know as well. I've read that E is more like a wax, whereas C is the actual powder. My main reason for thinking of Cyp is really just because Drs prescribe it for TRT. Would E be better suited for a first brew, or either one if take the time to do it right?

You should be able to successfully brew test c at 200 mg/ml and 250 mg/ml using 2% ba and 18% to 20% bb. A couple things to help you make it a positive experience. Make sure you do it in an environment that is clean and free from distractions for several hours so you can give your brew 100% of you attention. Use a glass rod instead of swirling the brew so you get the hormone evenly distributed. Filter your brew while its warm investing in something like a cheap candle warmer will work good but you'll have to watch temps so you don't damage your filter. Use a thin carrier oil like safflower, cottonseed, or MCT it will make your life much easier. Those are just a few things to help you out in my opinion.

Ok. A couple more questions. I've read some stories where people's E came all melted, and leaked. Is that common? Also, if I'm already on Cyp, is it going to affect me to change to E? Thanks again.
