I'm 5'5.5" 151lbs 28" waist 16" arms, Not trying to bodybuild... Just powerlifting, trying to get my numbers back.. So I will be taking sust250 BP=315x3 SQ380 sucked, DL=505x1 at 156lbs...
Welcome to Meso and as a man gearing up for a spinal fusion next Thursday I say leave those heavy weights alone as they aren't needed except for ego's and I wish I never would have let mine get in the way.
Sorry, Whodat, but I disagree. He is into power lifting and not increasing your lift weight is not going to accomplish his goal. Proper form, proper preparation and common sense on the increases should minimize risks. Minimal weight equals minimal strength gains. We all have the ability to increase our maximum lifts, but our mind gets in the way of the unbelievable abilities of the body.
My goal is to weight 170-195lbs an bench press 400lbs, DL600, SQ400 my SQ has always sucked.... With my build do y'all think I could weight 195lb with a small gut as I could careless about abs no need
Keeping the abs strong is important too. It will help your lifts for sure. I should've listened to myself about this recently lol...injury. Keep eating and best of luck with your lifts, be safe.
