New to the game.

Your response to OdieM came off as sounding petulant
Hard to argue with that. I'm a fan of powerlifting but I get upset about equipped lifting because I believe it is inhibiting the growth of the sport. It makes it hard for people to relate to it if they think that an 800-1000 pound bench is possible.

OK gotcha but save the debate for another thread just not in here. Fair enough?

Guess I did say 800 lbs at first. Oops. @Moses your stay here is not looking good kid. Tell ya what, I'll put up a video of me benching against yours? Sound good? Relax kid it's the Internet. Now quit trashing this nice gentalmens log.
I don't really care about my stay here as I said before I made an account specifically to correct you:). I'd be willing to take you up on that challenge tho even if you are stronger. You do look more jacked than me in your avi so I wouldn't be supprised. BTW I'm 27 so you can stop calling me kid. sorry OP about the clutter. we can continue over PM if you like OdieM

You don't think it is possible though? They said that about the 600 lb bench until it was broken... Then the 700 pound... The 800 will be broken eventually I think. Really I think the only reason equipment has become popular is because it is commonly used in training and grew a following in that end of the spectrum. Equipped or not, Scot Mendelsons record was badass, I forget the other guys name.

Go to the new member introduction section if you end up sticking around man. We don't always get along with one another here but it's cool as long as everyone stays respectful.

I think there will be a monster that comes along that can do it eventually but steroids and training methods aren't going to get much better if at all and I thing they were a big reason for the jump from the 60's on. I agree Mendelson is a monster, ive met him a couple times, he still has a record for both raw and equipped at the 308 wt class I believe. Thanks for the advice

Because man, it's the latest protein and bcaas that make your muscles grow. Doesn't everyone know this

Grats on PR boss

It's just a frame of thought. The idea of maximizing on the only ingredient that builds muscle, protein. When you consider there isn't any conclusive studies or evidence that it does or doesn't help it really is a logical conclusion to have.

My experiences say 2g/lb bw is a bit of a waste. Based on my own observations. I prefer 1.5 mostly because I didn't notice a physique or performance/recovery difference between that and 2g. Other than 2g/lb bw backed me up till next yr:mad:

I think at some point about what we know in studies that have been performed and about our own experiments and common sense wed have to realize muscle building is a slow process for the majority of us. Some faster than others and then the small minority that make ifbb pro before there 20. They are the elite genetic freaks. And genetics in this sport are everything and then some.

@Atticus hey bud. Instead of just throwing insults how about help educate. It's what the forum is for. I'm 20 on my first cycle sitting at the heaviest weight I've been, yea your right I'm holding some water but the hole point of the board is to help and educate, so please be my guest

I can't really speak for Atticus but since he's a friend I will try. He wasn't insulting you. He was simply saying your freaking 20 dude. I was you so I know whats going on in that head of yours. I actually ran a cycle younger then you are now. I was such a dumb ass but no one could tell me anything. You know what it got me? Low T before I was ever out of my 20s. I also was in fear that i couldn't have kids. I should of had a dozen of those little bastards by now. I know it fucked me up there as well. Luckily I would only cycle like once every 2 years so my body recovered some what but still did a lot of damage. Anyway I can see where he's coming from with his opinion. He's the most by the book square guy I've ever met, hence why i said that if I abuse aas while he's training me he will drop me. Ive been where you are and I'm only speaking from experience man. You looked fucking great before aas and you should of waited but like I said I was once you and no one could tell me anything either.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass or cry baby Odie I was being honest. You speak highly of him and I think he could be a great asset to this board but to kinda mock and just say something like that isn't what this board is here for. I'm more then open to his diet advice and training advice. There's a whole lot of people here that are running more then me and who don't look like Greek gods. I am holding water but my goal isn't to step on stage tomorrow I'm just enjoyin life and lifting. Running a cycle wasn't that great of an idea my total t didn't even to up to much. My natural t is high enough I just wanted to see what the buzz is about and I still want to beat my state record ;)

Hey dude, I'm sorry I haven't been checking in as much as before. I will catch up, but in the meantime , I will just tell you your new pup is a fucking stud. Huskies are crazy smart, yet silly dogs! I started training my girls Aussie the past few weeks. It is so fun working with a dog with brains.

Hahaha I love my pup. Been spending a ton of time with her. She's a blast. If I wasn't getting married this pup could help me pull so much tail. It's the perfect wing dog.
