I love Newport products. But I get mine through a third party. I don't blame them for being cautious after the Mission fiasco. They should do what ever they need to do to keep themselves in business so I can keep enjoying their gear.

Nobody wants to see another good lab get busted after what happened to mission. Actually, this was before mission ever even got busted. I emailed him using gmail so he goes I need to to use a more secure mail server so I created a brand new account on proton mail or whatever it was and then he asks for a referal so I give him one and then he asks me why I want to order from him? I proceed to let him know that I was using mission gear at the time but I wanted to branch out and try something else because mission was getting complaints at the time. Then he sais "well you already have a lab why the fuck do you want to use us?" Guy was a complete asshole. As far as I am concerned Northern can go fuck themselves and I tell everyone I talk to not to order from them. Ive never had any other rep act like that towards me.

Every now and then i get some angry pouting rejected newbie in here complaining about why they didnt make the cut. First of all, Marco has no referral - unless he's referring to his alter ego.

Regarding the quote, does anyone here even remotely believe that i would speak like that or act that unprofessional? Of course not. The answers to the questions i ask, as every single person except Marco knows, are not as important as to HOW you respond. This is simply one of the ways i use to help determine whether or not i want to add you as a client. And now everyone can clearly see WHY it's so important, otherwise you end up dealing with people like Marco.

Sadly, Marco is the epitome of a client every UGL should avoid. And for the record, 90% of my clientele have more than one source available to them at any given time, but choose to work with me.

NN and I exchanged some emails several months ago when I was looking for some stuff, and despite that I told him I have another source he was positive and yes there were vetting questions but that's normal or even preferred since it helps the safety of not only the seller but the customer as well indirectly. In the end there wasn't an order since he didn't have what I was looking for at the time but I was left with a positive impression that this is a professional source to deal with.

NN has been great, quick responses and I haven't ordered in a long time from NN.
Sent an inquiry and nothing was said.
Just a quick nice reply.
The minimum sucks (But understandable) so NP is a special order for me.

I was very respectful in my exchanges with you and followed everything you requested to a tee. Seems like it wasnt good enough but its fine anyhow. I still respect your track record although I dont necessarely agree with how I was handled but you obviously dont give a shit so thats cool. Good customer service lol cheers

Quit while you're ahead. Your last two comments do nothing but demonstrate to the entire board that youre passive aggressive, a trait that is unattractive to any potential UGL, particularly if youre attempting to gain access to a private lab.

Marco, I to had a few exchanges with NN and he also decided to not do business with me. Im not upset about it, things have tightened up latley and people are being precautions can't say I blame him.
I will say he was good to deal with, he replied in a timely response, unlike some other ugls ive used in the past.
