A Canadian man was awaiting a federal deportation hearing Tuesday after being sentenced to time served in jail for illegally distributing anabolic steroids from his southern Nevada home, authorities said.

Valerio Moscariello, 31, of Toronto, also was ordered to dismantle an Internet Website, "juiceworld," through which he admitted selling the muscle-enhancing drugs, according to a statement by Daniel Bogden, U.S. attorney for Nevada.

Moscariello was turned over to immigration authorities after federal District Court Judge Roger Hunt sentenced him Monday to five months already served and three years of probation, said Natalie Collins, spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney.

Moscariello was arrested June 3 at his home in Henderson, where police and U.S. postal inspectors reported seizing steroids, human growth hormones, business records, packaging materials and more than $16,000 in cash.

Moscariello pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to possession with intent to distribute steroids, a controlled substance, without a prescription.
