Night hunger....

When you guys are dieting...and get really hungry at night, say after 8PM, what do you snack on that won't pack to many calories on?!

Granola, low fat yogurt, celery and fat free ranch dressing, fruit, fruit, and more fruit. I eat 5 -7 oranges a day. I also eat bananas, grapes and apples.

Shit I hate dieting. Guess thats why I am never really any good at it. I have to walk my fat ass off to get rid of it.

I can't stress cardio enough. Do plenty of it.

If I workout at night, it is a cardio workout. Running, swimming or biking. But I'm just talking about when yer sittin around on the computer or by the TV at night.
If I eat granola and yogurt, that'll be too much for me. I'm in athletics and don't want extra weight, and I gain easy. Currently at 175, but want to diet down to low 160's, and then put a few pounds of lean muscle back on...
 
fat free cottage cheese or some whey protein mixed w/ water would be good options, since the slower digesting protein would fill you up and help you stay in an anabolic state while you sleep. And both are very low carb and low/no fat, which will make them safe too eat before sleeping. Avoid sugar at all costs and try to stay with high protein. For something sweeter get some fat free lite yogurt. It only has about 90 cal/serving w/ about 8g protein and not much carbs. As a side note dairy products high in calcium can interfere with the absorbtion of ZMA, if you take that. So wait a few hours after eating anything with alot of calcium before taking ZMA.
 
i get hungry at night all the time. usually i hit up perkins at like 3am but thats because im drunk as all hell. lol

seriously though, i usually just try to go to bed. if im awake the cravings will eventually get to me and i'll be raiding the kitchen all night

does the trick!

I usually take a stroll around the block and see if anyones walking their dog..If so I feed!
