yeah, but it cracks me up how someone will work out 3 hours a day, get their macros all out of wack, than wonder why they don't feel good or get gains. I've never been a big fan of carbs, but going to zero carbs or zero fat isn't going to do anyone any favorsThe takeaway really should be moderation... Most of the news stories are only reporting half of the story, because the study goes into high carb diets too finding that a +/-50% carb intake is ideal.
It's also worth noting that low carb keto dieting is an important health based diet for a lot of people with illnesses... That's originally how it was discovered and used, it wasn't to lose weight.

Tried that with my daughter's epilepsy, no luck. A keto diet is very effective if you need it, most people dont. It's like the gluten thing, if you have celiac disease, you Ned to stop eating it. But when people start avoiding it because it's a trend, it's silly. But the way, I happen to be a huge fan of the Mediterranean dietThere's really no such thing as zero carbs but the evidence for ketogenic diets is well established with regard to disease. Epilepsy, for example, can be just about cured with ketosis... That's a favor to anyone with seizures.
I created a new thread about this same article in the Nutrition Forum. Didn't see this discussion until just now. I apologize @Xlgx. Had no intention to disrespect your thread.
Lol @ might as well call it a meta analysis. You’re the dumbass. Meta analysis is the gold standard in science.Take away should be that study is dog shit and set up to achieve a specific result.
For the record keto diets don't do anything extra for fatloss, science is pretty damn clear on that.
Keto diet balancing the 3 to 6 ratio is optimal for health despite what this dumbass "study" says. Might as well call it a damn meta analysis the way it was setup.
