not happy getting older

I am 48 and have done only 2 cycles in my life about 5 years ago. Although I work out as much as I ever did in my life I seem to be getting some sag action....I do take Androgel in a double dose but it doesn't seem to be keeping up with gravity......ANYWAY, I still have good strength as I can still get over 300 pounds up on the bench and do curls of 110 for 6 reps....but I look old. I am 6'1 and 220 and could use to lose about 15 pounds which I am working on....I was 232lbs - 6 weeks ago. Are there any older guys who can give me some advice on getting my old form back?
 
i did androgel and then 100mg/week injections for a while. i went back to cycling. just seems to work better for me overall.

cardio gets more important every year as you get older when i comes to feeling good and young.
 
HGH would prob be one of the few things that can improve collegan of the skin. Not sure if you were talking about your skin sagging from your age or because of fat lol
 
well bro, you got me beat on all the heavy lifts and ya got me by 2 yrs. i got you beat by50 lbs and im hard as a rock. less then 5% bf year round! i would just make a guess and say our nutrition programs are way different!
 
Well, you have my beat by 5 years.....I am 43 years old....I however look young and can get down under 10%. when I do I look young...as you know weight management is much harder as you get older...I need to take my carbs pretty low when I am dieting down.........I would say diet is huge, sleep is huge....and GH mighty help ;-)
 
IM sure Solo will chime in soon. He is built like a brick shit house. I hope i can look like him when im his age!

Will you kids stop fussing about age and what not:D. You can be lean & mean right into your 60s. The battle with time is one that none of us will finally win, but, believe you me, we can put up one fuck of fight if we set our minds to it. Fight with a smile as time causes a few extra aches and pains and sags and night pisses while it slowly lures us back to Earth. In the meantime, if you love life, there's always something you can do to keep living well.

First, choose your parents wisely. Genetics, no matter that some on here deny it, plays a major role in both your physiological and psychological wellbeing, as does your early upbringing & experiences.

Next, stay active and learn to pursue what you most desire. Do not repress your emotions but guide them. You will have to learn to wear a face that says "nice guy" while disguising your inner fire.

As you get older, use drugs & supplements judiciously, never ceding your self-control to them.

Prune your relationships. Don't waste time on people who bore you, bring you down, or just claim rights on your time.

Preen no more. Dim your ego. Get your satisfaction from the confidence you feel in who you are

Nurture any relationship that enhances your life.

Laugh at yourself when things don't go your way; they will next time..

Courage and a smile go a long way.

At last, what that youngster, older-than-dirt, was asking about:

•By all means, keep working out.
•By all means, keep sexually active.
•By all means, plan a good, healthy diet but break out occasionally, too.
•By all means use roids in cycles but avoid those with heavy DHT or water bloat or those that damage internal organs.
•By all means, use HGH. It's excellent for leanness, skin-tightening, & maintenance (but it's very hard to find trustworthy sources right now), so it should be used full-time forever, if possible.
•By all means, just accept those things you can't change. Hey, it's your hand, so play it.

I cant tell you how much some of you are missing the boat, and how wrong that is. There are truely BETTER THAN ROMAN TIMES. You guys need to take advantage. While cycling is GREAT, and you are clearly fortunate enought to have the sack to have found out about this good stuff, THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO IT. You could spend your whole lives tweaking your hormones and never get them perfect. GET STARTED.

FIrst find a wellness doc that knows WTF he is doing!! Your skin WILL get better.. Remember that Genetics is NOT ALTERABLE, but here is what is: Genetics tells your body TWO different important things. (1) HOW MUCH HORMONE TO MAKE and (2) HOW TO REACT TO WHICH LEVELS. The two do not have to coincide naturally to optimal proportions. This is why some of us have heart attacks at 32, etc..... So look at it like this. NO YOU CAN NOT CHANGE GENETICS (the way your body reacts to certain levels of hormones, or the life span of your skin or prostate at certain levels persay). BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR GENETICALLY CODED HORMONE PRODUCTION. Trial and error combined with wisdom of good wellness doc. GET BUSY!

You have all shown the balls to pin some juice, NOW WAKE UP, you are all already there. Do this thing right.!!:)
 
45 here. Nice to see the 'nonpolitaly correct' tide in this thread. I thought I was the only one that felt this way. Kudos Solo!
Old Dirt, I'v found that training my upper muscles at the gym have made gravity subside for a while. I know exactly what you mean about the earths magnetic effect. Chest and buns buddy. Do upright benches (45 degree) to hit the upper pecks, avoid declines because it just takes way to much weight to push and adds mass to the lower peck and that much weight while impressive is not good for dinasour tendons.
Hit the butt blaster and concentrate on the upper glutes, if you can isolate them well it will pick up your rear end and give you the aborigini look.;)
Well, off to apease the internal gremlins and satisfy the external gods of choice.

Thanks for the help. What do you guys think about me doing a cutting cycle? I really don't like to use anything but test because my kidneys and liver are half way dead. I do eat healthy and have added another day of cardio to my routine as well.
 
i wouldnt if my liver and kidney were half fuck allready! you never did say what your nutrition is like. maybe instead of going so heavy and doing fewrer reps you can change your workouts too. i only lift like you do on a cycle, and only like a week or two in the middle. i like to pyramid a lot a superset gettin at least 12 on the heaviest. especially when im comming off and trying to just get ripped

Test alone or Test + EQ are good choices. Use Arimidex EOD, as well.

I'm 63 now and heres what i can tell you from my experience. I had hepatitus when i was in my late 20's,dont know how i got it because i didnt do any kind of drugs that needed to be injected,and i was married at the time with 2 kids. I started seriously bodybuilding at 32 at a hardcore gym where there were a lot of bodybuilders and powerlifters so i had some experienced people around me,this was the time Arnold,Frank Zane and all those guys were competing.
My first cycle was HCG and anavar for 2 months,my second cycle was the same and i got fairly good results since i had never used anything before. I was cautious because i had the hepatitus when i was younger but never had any problems with ever again. I the started using Decca and winstrol and test but in moderate doses with good results,i would do 3 cycles a year for 2 months on and 2 months off. I did this for 3 or 4 years with no problems. I never used more than 200mg of test or decca a week,i quit using Decca and started using Equipoise because i was getting side effects with it i didnt like.i know its not very high dose but i got good results.
My favorite anablic was and is Equipoise,you can bulk on it and cut on it with good results.
I am on my second cyclic now since june of last year,i have been using 250mg sustanon and 300mg of Equipoise every week now and dont have any side effects to speak of . I have good genetics and dont look near my age,i can get by as looking 48 or 49. My skin is stll tight but i am starting to get the loose skin under the chin. My suggestion is go easy on the test and use Equipoise if you want to cut down,it is in opinion the best and safest Anabolic you can use with no bad side effects.
I'm 210 pounds and 5' 11" and look good and still train as hard as i did when i was 35,mabey a few joints that get sore a little but i can still train hard,i go 6 days a week with my son who is 36 now and is really into bodybuilding and marshal arts. Just be sensable and dont go overboard and you still plenty of time to train and look good.
