How is this any different from hand pressured syringe filtering?
(in the simplest possible terms)
Positive pressure vs negative pressure + removing evaporate. Same thing happens on a smaller scale inside the syringe when drawing from the vial if you pull back too fast, bubbles come out of the solution. For a quick illustration, try this with a soda pop.
 
It’s can be very time consuming if you try to use it to dispense into vials after having it set up to filter. There were days that the set up would take just minutes and then there were days where I would fuck with it for a damn hour trying to get it to consistently dispense the same amount each time. Finally decided it was best to just filter into medias and dispense from them.

If you do go with it i recommend #18 tubing
Yeah that's why I was suggesting to use two or do it in two different stage. One stage filtering into media bottle, second stage transfer into vials. Doing both together filtering/filling will drive one person into madness xD

I'm not talking about this or any other vendor. Was just exploring using that as a quicker option to filter into my 100ml vials.

(I do get what you're saying, I don't believe it to be a problem but ofc no calculations or anything. Enjoy your Sunday.)

Oh, you have to do it in two stages. You can’t dispense into vials while you are filtering. Then you’d definitely get inconsistent fill lines.

But yeah we are human. Us doing two things at once is asking for mistakes to be made. lol

Sorry, couldn't pass up the joke.

I don't think it would affect the concentrations enough to make a functional difference at the pressures those pumps operate at, as long as you get a decent flow rate through the filter. Might get a different result if it's a particularly nasty brew, or one with ultra low solvent conc. I'd definitely consider it if I had large volumes to filter.

it's very cool one could syringe filter into 100ml vial and then transfer with a sterile syringe into 10ml vials easily.

I wonder what's the name of the connector that has the tube and the needle attached for sucking the air out from the vial to create the vacuum @mongo5165

I would look into food grade hi temp silicone tubing, some of them i believe can be autoclaved, memory is a little rusty or you could chemical sterilize them as they're resistant to most reactive things.
 
Yes that was the link I provided. The video demonstrates the attachment between sterile needle and coupling with male luer plug. Added comments since it isn't as self explanatory as I thought it would be.

I would look into food grade hi temp silicone tubing, some of them i believe can be autoclaved, memory is a little rusty or you could chemical sterilize them as they're resistant to most reactive things.

It should not come into contact with the oil.
You're creating negative pressure by sucking air out.
