I dont imagine there being room for a QB like Manning (even a young Manning) in the NFL in 2020 and beyond. Not with the success he has had anyway...the game is changing quickly.

He should be glad he got out when he did.
Im only slightly exaggerating this, I truly believe the QB position as we have seen it in the past will continue to be reinvented. I remember watching Vick @ Virginia tech and thinking...my God, this kid is the most athletic person on the field. He lit it up pretty good in Atlanta too before prison, never really recovered. Cam is the same way, freak of nature and the most athletic guy on the field most days. If you can find a guy with just half-a brain that is as athletic as that why not let him tough the ball every play? Like Cam or not I believe he will do great things in the league for years to come, he finally just started to develop.

Cam is very talented and should have a bright future. Just bustin balls. This is the Smack talk thread right? :D

do you guys think we will see somewhat of a divide in recruiting of QBs?
It seems with the success of guys like Cam, Wilson, Luck, Kap (to a degree) in the current NFL environment, we are seeing higher recruitment of these dynamic playmakers to fill the QB role. They also seem to be having more success earlier in their careers, because even though the experience and looks may not be there, they can carry the drive on athleticism alone at times. RG3 is really the only big bust as far as that goes..and I do believe although overated he would have still done more if the poor guy wasnt glass.
 
Good question I think there will be a divide.So hard to say which guy will become great ie( Wilson, Brady) I'm not sold on this years batch of Qb's, to immediately make an impact. But who knows...

this year is weak.
Who is that kid that was playing QB then hurt his shoulder, had a terrible year when he returned then switched to WR and lit it up?
