I've got a question...

Firstly...for those of you that have been around here a long time,you may remember me...I was "mikexxxman" way back in 2000.

Anyhow...I' need some help. Not for me, but for a friend...lol...(We've all heard that before)

Well, my friend is kind of a hard case...but he is FRIGGIN HUGE! And I mean HUGE! He hasn't really worked out in years.. and it shows...but I think with a little lifting and a diet change..the guy could be a monster..

OK..his stats...he's 6'-4"...270lbs..~20%BF and 35. But the thing is...I swear to you guys, this guy has the biggest bone structure I have ever seen.

Now, the problem that I'm hoping you guys can help me with. The guy will not eat ANY veggies and will only eat fruit if they are blended and mixed with some yogurt. He will eat chicken, fish, beef etc....

He wants to stay all natural. No AAS. He will take fish oil, multi vit, protein supps etc...but no AAS.

And last but not least...this is the hard part...the guy has a Bowflex and with a wife and four kids can't afford to pay for a gym and doesn't have the time to go because his wife works at night and he watches the kids. He also has a pool. He has NKMC (No Known Medical Conditions) or injuries.

His exact words to me: "I just want to be fit enough to feel better, see my grandkids and not embarrass my wife or kids when i take my shirt off at the beach"...lol...Yes, I called him a pussy...but he is a good friend and I want to help the guy..

So, with this...any ideas?? :confused:

I spent 4 months in africa and i still found a way to w/o...pullups off of the closet shelf, squatting this big ass wooden chair that was in my hotel room, curls with cinder blocks etc etc. And there was a period where I had a bowflex and due to where I was it was the only thing available...and i kept at it... It sounds to me like your guy is suffering from a bit of motivational disfunction...no disrespect intended, but if he wanted to do it you could'nt stop him, and if he does'nt really want to do it you can't make him.

No disrespect taken...you are right. The guy needs motivation. I've never really had that problem..I mean, I think everybody goes through phases where they need to or want to just take a break...I was hoping that maybe someone here could give me a little help on this though.
 
I'd lean him out first. Big guys look even bigger when they're lean. Then worry about bulking. If he's big, he could probably get much bigger easily. If your frame can store 15 pounds of bodyfat and not look much different, you can bulk like mad before worrying about cutting. Don't knock the bowflex, it's actually a well engineering piece of fitness equipment that people could actually use. It's not made for powerlifters and bodybuilders, but it is a good prodcut and has helped a lot of people. I'd conisder an ECA, some heavy weights, and lots of cardio. Don't cut like a pussy, cut like a man, that's what I say.
