Hi everyone, I realize I should have started here before posting questions, but here we go.
I have just turned 49, and amusingly, I'm in the best shape of my life. While I did play Rugby for 30+years, the last decade have been a steady decline to a sedentary life, eventually hitting 311lbs, size 44 lbs, 3XL shirts. In January I got the health scare of my life, hospitalized for 3 weeks from a horrible lung infection. With a supportive wife, I started turning things around - first cutting sugar, then walking 3x week, then gym. I started Tirzepatide 7 months ago, Testosterone at 200mg. Today I'm at 250, size 36 jeans, L-XL shirts :). I'm going to the gym 6x week (mostly weights, some cardio), working with a trainer to keep me accountable, and eating over 250g of protein, plus sleeping well.

So, now onto the relevant part - I want more (who doesn't). I realize I may have a few more years of peak strength, and I want to see what that could look like. I've been researching HGH, Primo and Anavar as "safer" choices to preserve muscle mass, while I keep a gentle caloric deficit towards 240.

If you want to have a puerile go at my choices and offer simplified solutions, knock yourself out. But any "older and wiser" lifters willing to share their own experiences will be greatly appreciated!

Nice work getting your health in order! Sounds like you've got the fire inside to go way further. Meso is a wealth of info. If you get aquatinted with the search function you'll find threads covering every topic you've mentioned in detail.

Welcome and looking forward to hearing about your progress!

Fine work getting your house in order bro. No easy feat and it set you on a path the lead you here.

I am significantly younger and only a couple of years into my foray into anabolics, so I am the last person to give cycling advice to you, but there is so much content here to take in that I am certain you will land on your feet when you decide to take the plunge.
