Spound, he does not go the length of a football field - he does parking lot lunges. And yes I do walking lunges, in the gym, with dumbbells, not with a barbell. Do I do it as far as he does? No. Do I want to have legs his size? Hell no.spound said:oh really, so on leg day you do 5 sets of lunges with each set consisting of lunging the legnth of a football field?
Bob Smith: What is a joke? The fact that I do the same sets and reps - but NOT THE SAME WEIGHT? What's so "what a joke" about that?
Lots of cynical people here regarding routines, but I guess you guys either haven't watched Ronnie's videos and paid attention to HOW he trains in terms of cadence, reps and sets, haven't listened to what he says regarding how he changes his routine in the off season according to how much he weighs, and apparently are amazed by him rather than learning from him.
Dorian, on the other hand, was the one guy who constantly overtrained and it showed in his videos and his rediculous affinity for pushing beyond "total muscular failure" with every set he performed. I'd never train like him.
My only point here was that you could learn something from top bodybuilders and how they train, if you lighten the weight and maintain the same sets / reps they perform.
