Trying to learn all this I downloaded the bitcoin app so I could practice sending between my wallets and whatnot. They give you like .04 bucks to practice with, and yeah I fucked up the first transaction. I didn't realize it was bitcoin cash they give you in your wallet and not bitcoins. Anyways sent the cash to a bitcoin addy and couldn't figure out why it wasn't showing up....And from what I've researched it's gone forever in cryptospace.

Plain bitcoin is different than bitcoin cash.

What BTC wallet were you sending TO? You should be able to recover it. Even though it is 4 cents, it will be a good learning experience for you.

Did this exact same thing with a few bucks when I was moving my stuff from coinbase into my offline electrum wallet. Accidentally sent my BCH to my electrum BTC wallet.

It is recoverable.

I just send a 1000 from bth to btc and contacted support ASAP. I got that it was successfully sent out. Is it gone forever?

I think he was able to recover it because he was the owner of the BTC wallet. I could be wrong. When you say support, are you the owner of where you sent it to? Ive read alot of confusing info overtime of how it is and isn't possible...the issue of segwit addresses, legacy etc. A little confusing

Here is what the support team. Went to order some shit and got an btc addy and sent it from bth. They said the person receive the money but obviously did not. Is there a Wallet sweeper anything I can do to figure out where this went and get it back?
