You need to have as tiny of a paper trail back to you as possible incase something goes awary. Powder can bring some serious problems with it so be careful. Im not an expert of the matter but I can see the corerelation of powder strength as mg per gram but I could be wrong
You need to research yourself on what the differences are. mg is miligram and g is gram, the difference meaning 1000, so if you had 5g of powder you would have 5000mg's of powder. Also if you had 1 kilo of powder, that would be 1000 grams or 10,000 miligrams. Make sense???
If you are getting powder, order it from some place reputable that will know how to package it. Never have any paper trail that will lead back to you in any way.

1,000,000 mg in a kilo...chances are you don't want to order near that much anyways.

You are simply dealing in metric system measurement standards here. 1000 mgs = 1 gram. and then, 1000 grams = a kilogram, and so on.
First, potency problems are usually associated with UGLs not putting enough powder in the final oil concoctSHHEEUN.. In powder standards, a producing manufacturer, many times a chinese company these days, will describe "purity". The purity of course should be 100%, or 99.7%, etc.... If not, they wont detail what the "impurities" or other stuff (.03%) is. I would assume its a byproduct of the manufacturing process. I have seen some state over 100%. I would assume they are addressing molarity there. The whole thing will scare you.
You will see ads out on the net where "Mr. Chang" is offering 1000grams ( 1 KG) for around $2000.00. Whereas he may even be legit (or may not). DONT TRY TO ORDER THAT AS YOU MAY GO TO JAIL FOR A VERY LONG TIME..... I know 2$/gm sounds good. It aint worth it!! You cant pin that much in 4 lifetimes... But you can grow a nice set of titties with the overdosing that kind of quantity would provoke...
You may find resellers out there selling 10 grams for about 100bucks. This is probably more accurate if you saw something like that. So basically, thats about (4) 10ml Vials worth of test if that gives you any light on the $$ relation. Oils and all$, you may be getting for 1/3 the CVS drugstore price. Problem is you dont know what you are getting, OR if you will get it. At least its one step closer than UGL, whereas, you dont know what the hell else they are putting in, cooking in, imparting, doing to it.... So I dont advocate any of it. Its all a BIG risk IMO....

Thanks BBC3. I guess my question should have been "What is the purity of the powder?". I had a "friend" that was trying to sell me bs ( he tried telling me x amount of substance produced less than what the math worked out to be due to lossing some in the homebrew process) since he was prob goining to try to steal some of the potential powder for himself.
Also I thought that the if there is a problem with an order there would just be a warning/seasier letter sent to the address.

first of all welcome to the wonderful world of homebrewing. Secondly, send payment via western union / money gram (never credit card or swift bank transfer) since you want to eliminate paper trail. I've never had a problem with customs here in the states, but if a seizure letter does arrive burn it immediately unless your supplier honors a re-shipment with proof of a seizure letter.

Back to the OP. You bring up an excellent point that you kinda stirred indirectly. Your friend trying to sell you, or mixing the gear underpowered. Its really only underpowered if he does not state the concentration ( how many mgs per ML). HOWEVER, this brings up another good point and problem with buying crap from UGLS, or WORSE, folks that dont know what the hell they are doing. SO imagine some idiot decides to "cut" his powder with something, because he thinks he can "step on it' like cocaine. So now you are injecting WHAT??? He could be so ignorant that he may believe that he needs to "replace" the powder with a substitute prior to mixing.!!! Or simply get powder that is diluted with another "powder" before he mixes it. The whole concept is pretty scarry. While steriods dont kill people, that sure as hell can!!! Most drug addicts dont even realize that you can even grind up and shoot just any old medication. Even medications have properties that wont dilute/distribute in the body and cause deep vein thrombosis, etc.
