Hello, I am new here and am very grateful to this website and the wealth of info...very impressive.
So many questions, but first- I will be consulting with Swale as a patient within a few days, so I'm confident I'll be in good hands regarding HRT.
My questions is in the estrogen area. I've read both docs 1) "a recipe for success" and 2) David Z's primer (as well as most active threads for the last week). So I've learned a little about HRT and E2, which is definately one thing I intuitively feel is wrong with me personally- too high of E2 (within next week I will know levels in blood as I requested E2 test by Extraction method through my Endo). I have allot of the symptons I've read about on this site re. too high E2. My total T is floating between 220 and 400 (240-827ng/dl - 2 test on T in 2 month span), and free T is 91 (34-194pg/ml), and Bio T 188 (84-402ng/dl) -- All in lower half ranges (can this "possibly" indicate theoritically higher than normal E2's, when T's are that low??)
I was wondering if anyone has looked into the flood of OTC compounds coming into the market regarding AI\estrogen blockers. Obviously a war is beginning in this area between competing supp companies as was the case with the pro Hormone war started up in around 98'. The first one I became aware of was 6 oxo, and some Bulk supp websites version of AI's. Now every muscle mag I read has full 2 page spreads on it like Gaspari's Novedex XT, ISA-Test by Isatori Tech, ALRI's Ultra H.O.T., Kilo Sports Attack, IDS LH Boost and Anti Aromatase, Cellucor P6, etc. There are many reasons why some would go this route - lack of Insurance or funds for HRT, believing in advertising, etc.
Has anyone here done any due diligence on these compounds (anyone that isn't jaded already by some of the constant B.S. advertising we endure)? I know its good\a must to be skeptical, but I have also learn there were products that did deliver pretty well during the pro-hormone years.
In the end, for myself personally I know the most common sense is to go with meds tried and tested for years, AI's that have been discused about since the dawn of time. I am asking purely from a science point of view. (though I have read articles about Clomid even being suspect allot of times as an effective AI)
Thx in advance for any input.
