I've had some pretty close calls, hell one time i hsd just climbed back into the boat a good 6 footer swam righy underneaty it right where my legs were just dsngling haha

Oh yeah. Well they are all over in florida.

It's just part of life down there, sharks in the ocan, alligators in the river. Snakes everywhere. You kind of dont even really think twice about it, but you definitely learn to keep your head on a swivel.

Most of the times they wont bother you, but if there is one in the area you get out of the water, thats their home and they are wild creatures so they will go after you if they're threatened.

This sounds like the amazing stories of Steven Spielberg, but I'll grant you the benefit of the doubt.

Ouch...scary as fuck I bet. Just one bite is all it takes

Worse are the rip tides. Got caught in one off Miami some years back and got pulled 500 feet and as deep as 20 ft down from shore but help came fast when someone saw me get pulled under just 15 feet out. Best thing I did was not panic or waste energy but managed to break out of it to the surface.

Yeah, but like i said its just part of life. Definitely not enough to keep me out of the water haha.

Yeah only makes me respect the sea more. Got to be careful out there.

Being on a small boat in a storm on the ocean is the ultimate terror. Nearly lost my brother and his friends that way.

To me that is far scarier than any living creature in the water. My old man and i never had anything bigger than a 17 ft skiff, there were a couple times we got caught out in some weather, luckily we never got too far out and were always pretty close to some kind of land, still scaruly though

Yup, i myself had adventures on a fishing boat off Nantucket...nearly went overboard when I hooked a big fish. Got the beast but was worth the risk I took lol.

I'd like to visit Italy though...my mom's family came from a small town near Rome.

That's on my list of places to visit before I die.

Well thats cold up there. Thats even scarier, atleast in florida the water is warm and you wont go into shock if you fall in. I live in washington now and the water is freezing cold, your body really does start freaking out when that shit hits you.

Yup, and I've been out there in the spring where the winds are still chilly and raw plus the waters are still cold as hell.

Yeah I've lived here all my life too. The Gulf is full of sharks, they don't bother me unless I can see them. I know that makes no sense since you likely don't see the one that gets you. I can also confirm the alligators, snakes, and in my area bears. I love it. I have four 8 point bucks on my back porch every day.
