Maybe your pregnant. It's a possibility:eek:

Leaner guys will tend to have a more noticeable bulge. Compare first thing in the morning. If it's the same, could be deeper stubborn fat, could also just be abdominal contents and bad posture.

Remember ,

There is no such thing as a lower and upper ab. Your abs are one unit. There are no target exercises to work out a "section"

Sure there are. I do totally different routines to hit my abs from every angle to TARGET DIFFERENT SECTIONS. I totally disagree with you, on the other hand good luck to you.

Cory is half true and you are half true...

There's no real lower and upper abs. It's one unit.

BUT you can work more the lower or the upper depending on the angle where you pose the resistance.

NOW you can't work precisely one of the 6... when doing abs work they all do the work but depending on the angle the load is handled by more the lower, or by the upper...

My 0.02cent.

I always thought the same as well....What made me think otherwise is a lecture that was given in class by some guys who are certified through ACE talking about how you cant train bottom or top abs that they are a whole unit so no matter what they are going to work. (Needed to state where I got my info from so I dont come off as an asshole because I am by far no expert in exercise science. )

Well you can't isolate the lower or the upper completely but you can put more load on the lower part ...

Just like chest... It's one unit but depending on the angle you load it you can <kind of> shape it (in your genetic muscle possibilities).

Yeah in any abdominal excercise you are using all abdominal muscle and sometimes low back, flexors etc. But you can stress one more than the other. all abdominal muscle don't contract with the same force. SEE?
