Overnight oats anyone?

Milk, peanut butter, casein.

Takes like five minutes though, might be kinda stuff sitting overnight.

1/4 cup steel cut oats
2 tbsp PB2 powdered peanut butter
1 scoop vanilla protien powder
1 tbsp honey
3/4 cup almond milk
In a Mason jar 4 hrs min in refrigerator
This is what I'm doing now. Looking for other recipes.

So are you sprouting the oats?

Seriously just trying to get a handle on why you're letting 'em sit.

Without cooking them , I guess it takes 3 to 4 hours for the oats to soak up the almond milk and soften up. The reason there called overnight oats is because you let them sit overnight. Google overnight oats it's a thing..

Ah.

All I was wondering.

I really like steel cut oats. It's just the crazy long prep time that makes me not ever eat them. My mom told me about doing the overnight oats in a crock pot like 2-3 years ago and I've still never tried it yet.

Does anyone meal prep steel cut oats?
If so, do you freeze them or just refrigerate?
How long will they keep in the refrigerator?

I make overnight oats by mixing oats with skim milk and leaving in refrigerator overnight. Add fruit in AM and it's gtg!

Yep, use a cupcake pan. Pour in said amount to each (be sure and spray with oil beforehand). Freeze overnight, pop them out the next day and put in a ziplock back in the freezer. They keep for a good 6 months in the freezer and you can make a ton of them. Use however many you need for your macros 2-3 minutes in the microwave and you are golden. Sometimes you need a touch of water added due to microwaving depending on how you like them.
